What if we promoted peace in the family? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 51:37

What if we helped one another love one another? How do we cultivate communities where peace reigns? How do we help people who clash learn to love one another? Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers!” Let’s learn to make peace. We will dish out the recipe - just in time for the Holidays. Downloads

What if we promoted peace in the family? (The 5:15) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 44:51

As Paul concludes his letter to the Philippians, he tells them again to "stand firm" in the midst of opposition and challenge. But in order to stand well, we must stand firmly upon the family of God's people and our faith in Christ's work. But fights and fear can undercut our strength. How does Paul tell us to respond to these two challenges in such a way that we can live in "peace that transcends understanding?" Downloads

What if we kept our eyes on the prize? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 48:57

That stinks! Paul compared his religious life without Christ to rotten rubbish! He then tells us how to abandon the religious rubbish and replace it with radiant relationship, with Life itself, from “do do” living to “Resurrection living.” We will follow Paul’s path to not just knowing about God, but abundant, overflowing, lavish, relational Resurrection living! This life is fragrant! Come and Smell the Life! Downloads

 One Thing (The 5:15) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 53:04

Paul tells us in Philippians 3 that he focuses on one thing. But in order to do it well, we must know how to forget what is behind and focus forward rightly. How does God view our past? And how can we forget well? What does God have for our future, and how can we run after it with passion? Downloads

What if we abandoned worthless pursuits and sought significant relationships? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 49:15

If you had to make a list of people you know well, who would make the cut? Let’s say you had to limit the list to ten people—who would be first? What about people who know you well? Are there people with whom you are only acquainted that you wish you knew well? We were created with a need for deep relationships. If your life is relationally bankrupt, there will come a time when you look back and realize that no matter what else you have accumulated and accomplished, that relational poverty is rotting your insides. So here’s the question: When you made your list of those you know well or those you would like to know well, where was God on that list? We're going to explore Philippians 3:1-11 and ask the question “What if we abandoned worthless pursuits and sought significant relationships?” Downloads

What if we abandoned worthless pursuits and sought significant relationships? (The 5:15) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 50:02

For Paul, knowing God is the only path to true joy. But it's quite easy to think we are taking the path to knowing God when, in fact, we are simply piling up meaningless religious activity. How can we understand the grace of Jesus in the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his suffering so that we can truly rejoice in the Lord?

What if we made disciples like Paul? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 57:41

How would you like to invest in an opportunity of a lifetime? It’s one that you would not only look back on as prudent and profitable, but just thinking about it would touch a place deep in your emotions that could only be described as joy. We are going to study Paul’s investment strategy. But it is not a retirement plan; the dividends on this plan extend into eternity. G. K. Chesterton famously said, “Jesus promised his disciples three things–that they would be completely fearless, absurdly happy, and in constant trouble.” Downloads

What if we trained Timothys? (The 5:15) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 53:42

In this section, Paul gives a glowing recommendation for Epaphroditus and Timothy. But where do men (and women) like this come from? How can we invest in the next generation so that those who come after us are strong in the things that really matter?

Do All Things Without Grumbling? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:01:12

Thirty Miles! That’s the distance the human eye can see a flickering candle on a dark night. Sitting on a hillside with crowds gathered around him, Jesus delivered His longest and best-known teaching, “The Sermon on the Mount.” At the core of that message we find these words: “You are the light of the world…let your light shine before others… and give glory to your Father!” The darker the night, the greater need for light. The Holy Spirit, though Paul in Philippians, reminds us of our Kingdom privilege of piercing this present darkness. Sunday we will open our hearts to God’s Word and rekindle the flame. Someone in that darkness is lost and longing for a glimpse of God’s light. Let’s be the city on the hill that cannot be hidden. Downloads

What if we lived like a light in the darkness? (The 5:15) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 46:51

For Paul, one thing was the key to shining like a light for the Kingdom of God in the midst of darkness: humility. How and why does he tell the church to be humble?

What if we thought like Jesus? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:36

Are you out of your mind? Have you ever said something or done something you wished you had not done or said, and as you reflected on why, the only explanation you could give was, “I was just not thinking well”? I think we all know the answer is “yes.” Paul writes, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” What if we thought like Jesus? What would Jesus think? If we want to be better we must think better. We are going to dive into one of the most amazingly rich passages of Scripture, Philippians 2:5-11. It is a Divine Invitation to think like Jesus! This is going to be good. Downloads

What if we thought like Jesus? (The 5:15) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 33:17

We welcome DJ Coleman to teach at the 5:15 gathering. DJ digs deeper into Philippians 2:5-11 to better understand Jesus Christ's divine and human nature and the incredible humility he displayed in his life and death.

What if we really loved each other? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 53:12

What would it look like if we really looked out for one another? I am sure that our family has eaten enough chicken from Chick-fil-A over the years to fill an entire car with chicken. Truett Cathy, the founder of Chick-fil-A, is famous for saying, “I know when a person needs encouragement; I can tell just by looking at them–it is a skill I have a perfected over the years and I am never wrong. What’s more, I can teach you how to do it and it is an invaluable tool in business and in social life. All you have to do is check and see if the person is breathing. If they are breathing, they need encouragement.” Truett is right–we all need encouragement. We are going consider how to be Christ encouragers. So if you are breathing, be encouraged and let's consider how to be counted among the encouragers. Downloads

What if we knew the truth about eternity? (The 5:15) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:14

How did Paul go from being a man consumed with his own status and behavior to one who could say, "To live is Christ"? Or from a man who saw death as punishment to one who saw death as gain? And furthermore, how could we learn to live like Paul did?

Why Do You Do What You Do? -David Nelms (The 5:15) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 41:42

We welcome David Nelms, a long-time friend and colleague of Buddy, who has a heart for missions and church planting. His leads an organization called the Timothy Initiative that has planted over 23,000 churches in about 40 countries. David explores the question of "Why do we do what we do?" from Matthew 22.
