Chemistry professor Gary Michels discusses his efforts to improve water quality in the Dominican Republic. Each summer Dr. Michels leads a group of Creighton students to the DR to install and inspect water filtration systems in rural communities.

The Most Reverend John R. Quinn, former Archbishop of San Francisco, was on the campus of Creighton this week presenting a lecture on Vatican I. In this interview, Quinn discusses the ways in which Vatican I has been misunderstood, especially its teachings about the communion of bishops and papal primacy.

Fr. Ray Bucko, S.J. discusses Jesuit ministry to Native Americans. Bucko is Chair of the Sociology and Anthropology Department at Creighton University and has spent many years working with native peoples, especially in South Dakota.

Although less known than the feast of the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption, this feast has played an important role in highlighting the role of Mary in the mystery of salvation.
