Welcome to the 14th and final (?!?!?!) episode of MMO Radio! Well, not quite final, but we have a HUGE announcement. Beginning in the next two weeks, our humble little show will be making the move to MMORPG.com! To align with their branding, we will be changing our name to Game On: Epic Slant Press Edition and posting on their feed. But never fear! We will continue posting the show here too. We just didn't want you to be shocked and afraid when you next download and see a different name. The folks over there have been very generous with us and we retain full creative control. So, the show's not changing. Just the name and audience. Why? There are a few reasons. First, moving the show into the MMORPG family means that we'll reach more listeners than ever before. Both Adam and I firmly believe in the power of an active audience and this move will help us move forward quicker than we could alone. Second, it's a good move to bring you the best content we can. Interesting guests are something we enjoy and being associated with a great website is a big step forward in being able to bring them on. Finally, we're just fans of MMORPG.com in general. Why not support a site we both enjoy and contribute where we do best? With that out of the way, welcome to our PAX East special! We fancy ourselves commentators, or better, buddies who like to talk about games. This week we stepped out of that a little bit to have some fun with the convention bug that bit us!   Hello again and welcome to a very special episode of MMO Radio. This week we have a bit of a treat for you: a developer interview! The lead designer of the upcoming Neverwinter MMO stopped by to talk with us and had a lot to say that we think you'll find interesting. Over the half-hour, we talk about designing an MMO based on such an iconic franchise, how Cryptic translated the DnD feel to work with the mechanics of an MMO, how instancing allows them to tell deeper stories, and more. We also field a couple of listener questions, including: What does Neverwinter have that will encourage players to continue to play the same character after reaching level cap? In other words, what is the "elder game" for this game? Given Neverwinter's highly instanced nature, what does the game offer to promote community and a feeling of persistence with respect to a player's presence and influence?
