From Cork To York | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

This is my answer to the challenge from Mike Gregory to write a tune with this title. Its maybe a bit slow, but I tried it fast and I couldn't fit all the words in.

John Brown’s Dream | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

My house sets 40 miles from Lawrence Kansas. The house built in 1840. John Brown probably travelled the military road that runs a quarter mile from my place!

Coyote Howl (TOTW) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

An original tune for Tune of the Week, 10/23/20, by a musician to admire, fiddler Joe Herrmann. He says the title came from an incident of coyotes marauding his wife's sheep, killing four and injuring one. Employing a sheepdog in the pasture later solved the problem, but the coyotes still howled. However, they also stayed away. I'm in sawmill tuning, an appropriate choice for this title.

The Lea Rig | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown
 Medley 4 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown
Ballydesmond Polkas w/CB (TOTW) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

After arranging the TOTW, I thought I'd search for the chords and transpose them for cello banjo accompaniment. Admittedly, it's just a first effort, but I achieved my goal of getting the deeper sound of the cello banjo to complement the regular banjo.

Ballydesmond Polkas (TOTW) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

A 3-in-1 Tune of the Week, Ballydesmond Polkas are three Irish tunes played together as a medley. It being so long, I play through it all once, giving it a structure of AABBCCDDEEFF. It's said that the medley is played rapidly. I'm up to 90%.

Country Blues/Hustling Gambler | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Dock Boggs' Country Blues/Hustling Gambler in f#CGAD tuned a half step or so low...

Subtle Sounds | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Tunaday #387 - G Modal "Accident" tuning (eFGCD)

Green River (TOTW) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

A fine Tune of the Week from North Carolina with a crooked part that suits the title Green River.

Blow The Wind Southerly | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Guitar, banjo and vocals.

Lace Collar | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

It appears that I have my first original tune! Lace Collar, in G, played on my Rickard banjo. Now I have to learn to play it well enough to add some variation.

Out On The Ocean | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Banjo, bandurria, bongos and bells.

Blackberry Blossom (Emma Lee Dickerson)(TOTW) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

A wonderful champion fiddler, Tatiana Hargreaves, plays the Tune of the Week and bases it upon the older fiddler Emma Lee Dickerson. In an interview Tatiana claims that's her doppelg?nger, a new word for me. They look alike in photos. The tune is very familiar to me, but Emma Lee's is unique, so I also include the more traditional one in this recording.

Treacherous Trek | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

Tunaday #369 - In D variant tuning (aDACD).
