U.S. EventerAllison Springerhas acquired an exciting new four-star ride in the purchase of William Fox-Pitt's former partner Lionheart by the Team Lionheart Syndicate LLC. The 11 year old Westfalian gelding who finished 4th at Luhmuhlen this year and 3rd at Pau in 2011 as well as winning an Olympic silver medal in London last year. Italian show jumping legend Major Raimondo D’Inzeo, the younger brother of Piero D’Inzeo and son of renown horseman Constanzo D’Inzeo who taught his sons to ride in the style devised by Captain Federico Caprilli, passed away last week at the age of 88. This is an interview I taped with him in October 2011. The translator is Italian Olympian Mario Turner.
