Author of Wake Up, American Women, Andres will discuss The Five Myths That Threaten our Health and Sanity.

Jeri Studebaker, author of Switching to Goddess discusses her book with it's themes of the "war gods of the major religions" - the intolerance she's encountered from the Goddess community for writing a book that's intolerant of Christianity - why Academics are wrong who don't believe in the notion Old Europe and Neolithic/early Bronze Age people worshiped Goddess and ideas about what these societies were like who worshiped Goddess.

Double Feature Tonight: At the top of the hour, Liz Fisher, author of the important curriculum from Unitarian Universalist Women called RISE UP AND CALL HER NAME will discuss these teachings and the herstory associated with the program still relevant and seeing a resurgence today. Jeanne Davis Kimball, scholar, documentary maker, archaeologist, founder of the Center for the Study of Eurasian Nomads, author of WARRIOR WOMEN: An Archaeologists Search for History's Hidden Heroines will discuss her work in the field excavating at Pokfovka on the Kazakh steppes along the Kazakhstan and Russian border which have yielded evidence that women among the Sauromatian and Early Sarmatian (Early Nomads) tribes were warriors and possibly related to the Amazons.

Frank Schaeffer, author of the New York Times bestseller Keeping Faith and, most recently, the memoir Crazy for God has appeared on NPR, CNN, MSNBC and Fox News. We'll be discussing his newest book, Patience with God, Faith for People Who Don't Like Religion (or Atheism) as well as fundamentalism, do we have to save Christianity from the Christians, and the anti-Americanism of the Religious Right.

Vandana Shiva has played a major role in the global Eco-Feminist movement, with an important article Empowering Women, suggesting sustainable agriculture around engaging women and advocates against the patriarchal logic of exclusion. You might recognize Vandana Shiva; she's been in the documentaries The World According to Monsanto, Dalai Lama Renaissance, On Thin ice, This is What Democracy Looks Like. She's won the 2009 Save the World Award and in 2010 received the Sydney Peace Prize. Vandana Shiva, philosopher, environmental activist, eco-feminist and author of several books will discuss her career fighting for changes in the practice and paradigms of agriculture and food, as well as intellectual property rights, biodiversity, biotechnology, bioethics, genetic engineering, fields where she has contributed. Her bio includes serving as advisor to governments in India and abroad as well as non-governmental organizations, including the International Forum on Globalisation, the Women's Environment & Development Organization, World Future Council and the Third World Network.

Donna Woolfolk Cross, author of Pope Joan discusses her book by the same name, about the brilliant woman born at the wrong time in history, who lived her life as a man in order to receive an education and who eventually became Pope. Donna will discuss the real woman and the movie based on her book and why, due to fear of Christian backlash, what the chances are of the movie being distributed here in the United States. Pope Joan was a colorful personage of history whose story is inspiring and whose life sadly ended in tragedy. At the bottom of the show, Riane Eisler, activist, visionary and author of Chalice and the Blade, The Partnership Way and The Real Wealth of Nations discusses "What's Good For Women is Good for the World"
