The Michigan Legislature passed a controversial bill this week that bans insurance companies from financing abortions no matter what the circumstance that motivated decision to abort the child. While Detroit made national news for an awful, horrendous mass shooting at an east side barber shop that left 3 people dead, the city was already dealing with another murder. Renisha McBride was fatally shot early Saturday morning November 2nd. The homeowner says that he accidentally shot the 19 year old woman as she asked for help.
