This recording was made possible by my supporters at patron.  Transcript 皆さまこんにちは、如何お過ごしでしょうか。次回の投稿では、私の私的文学クラブで紹介予定の、幸田露伴の風流仏の冒頭を朗読します。幸田露伴は尾崎紅葉と並んで明治時代、人気のあった作家で、文壇の権威でもありました。風流仏は当時の文学青年を魅了したのですが、そのなかに正岡子規がいます。正岡子規は風流仏を読んで、「熱に浮かされたような塩梅でどうか一生のうちにただ一つの風流仏のような小説を作りたい」とまで思い、また高浜虚子あての手紙に、日本第一、否世界第一と幸田露伴を絶賛しています。一見して、読むのが難しそうな露伴の小説なのですが、風流仏を朗読してみると、思ったより読み易いのに驚きました。文章に流れがあり、それに乗る事でスイスイ読める気がします。これが子規のいう「西鶴調」というものでしょうか… ちなみに私の文学クラブは、南風舎と言いまして、ペイトリオンのサイトに作りました。会費は、月額３ドルです。会といっても、メンバーで何かするということはなくて、私の朗読を支援いただいている場所という感じです。良かったら覗いてみてください。 それでは。

A couple of days ago, I had a chat with her and was impressed by her passion for exploring and sharing Japanese culture worldwide.  My dear listeners, Japanese tradition is declining and approaching its extinction parallel to its aging population. Many skilled masters of traditional arts and crafts have no heir.  But the hope is, we have an ardent person like Miyuki, who is excellent in presenting authentic - still alive - tradition in Japan !
