Opening Night at Pops this season features one of country music's most talented artists, Vince Gill. Gill is the winner of 20 Grammy Awards, 18 CMA Awards, is a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and will perform some of his favorite songs from his illustrious career. The Boston Pops led by conductor Keith Lockhart, in his 18th season with "America's Orchestra," will kick off the 2012 "Visions of America" spring Pops season with a gala opening night performance featuring Tony Award-winning icon Bernadette Peters on May 9.

George Gershwin fans will love this Boston Pops celebration! Honoring a composer whose masterpieces are vibrant, lush, jazzy and uniquely American, the Pops will perform many of Gershwin's classic pieces, including his iconic Rhapsody in Blue, as well his songs made famous by Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, and Gene Kelly, such as I got Rhythm, S'Wonderful, and Embraceable You. The May 12 concert at 3pm will feature a performance by the winner of the BSO Youth Concerto Competition.

America’s love of horses is the central theme in this concert featuring music from the films "The Magnificent Seven" and "Far and Away", classical pieces like "The William Tell" Overture, and high-energy bluegrass from Grammy Award-winner Ricky Skaggs and his phenomenal band Kentucky Thunder performing some of their greatest hits including "Uncle Pen," "Road To Spenser," and "Soldier of the Cross."

The signature Boston Pops sing-along has long been an audience favorite, so this year the orchestra is opening the sing-along to a national choir.

Great American songs would be nothing without the iconic artists who perform them. This series of concerts pays tribute to some of these American icons. The June 23 and 24 concerts include the music of George Gershwin and Richard Rodgers performed by Broadway stars Kathleen Brett and Ron Raines.

A series of 2011 Pops concerts will pay tribute to American Icons, showcasing such great innovators of the American Songbook as Irving Berlin, Richard Rodgers, and George Gershwin.

Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops kick off the 2011 Spring Pops Season on Wednesday, May 11, with a gala Opening Night tribute to the music of Judy Garland featuring Broadway darling Linda Eder. Ms. Eder’s brilliant vocals are showcased on her new CD Now, which hits stores just before the start of the Pops season on March 1, 2011.

The Boston Pops pays tribute to the music of Mardi Gras celebrations from around the world, including New Orleans and Rio de Janeiro. Globe-trotting jazz ambassadors the Dukes of Dixieland join the Pops to infuse strands of pop, gospel, and country with authentic New Orleans sounds and songs like "Honky Tonk Train Blues" and "When The Saints Go Marching In." The program will also include a brand-new medley about the glories of food called "What's Cookin'!"

The Boston Pops welcomes distinguished and talented guest artists to help celebrate the best American songs of the 20th century. The May 31 and June 1 concerts feature Michael Feinstein performing a tribute to Frank Sinatra.

This program features the debut of Haitian-American artist Daniel Bernard Roumain. The program also features two of the most beloved classic works written for children: the timeless tale "Peter and the Wolf" and the whimsical suite "Carnival of the Animals."
