Link ❤ – Single Stack, Bianchi, Shooting USA, GunZoo.com and more! | File Type: video/quicktime | Duration: Unknown

It’s been a while since I have posted some link love. Between travel, shooting and work I have been swamped. My inbox is officially scarier than this. I am not complaining though! As I like to say, busy is always better than bored.  So without further delay, here’s my attempt to catch up on some link ❤in’. May 2012 went down as one of the best shooting months of my career. It all started out with a trip to PASA Park in Barry, IL for the Single Stack Nationals. A second place finish to Sara Dunivin at the USPSA Area 1 Championships in St. George, UT just prior to the nationals had me hungry. I shot well and was able to bring home my 13th USPSA Ladies National Title.  A few fun of links to share from the match... Smith & Wesson and Blue Heron’s Interview Paul Hyland’s coverage of the match at BritinUSA.net Videofrom the event can be found at liveshots.net Speaking of Single Stack, it was at that event I decided to share my experiences with On the Road Updates on my You-Tube channel. It’s been fun and with all the responses I have received in comments and messages, I plan on doing more of them. Here’s a link to the playlist if you want to check it out and while you’re there, I'd ❤ to have you consider hitting subscribe. I just ❤ all the mainstream attention women and guns have been getting this year. Between the rise in women carrying concealed to events like National Take Your Daughter to the Range Day (NTYDTTRD), it’s a good time to be fabulously female with a firearm! Leading up to NTYDTTRD there was definitely a lot of buzz. I ❤ this interview with Natalie from Girls Guide to Guns and the program’s founder, Lynne Finch. The first NTYDTTRD was on June 9th and the NRA Range in Fairfax, VA was one of the hosts. Read more about how it went here. Team Smith & Wesson tore it up at this year’s ICORE International Revolver Championships. I was bummed that I couldn't make it but trust me, the team had it covered! A very special congratulations goes out to Jerry Miculek on his 20th IRC win. Talk about domination!!! I am so proud of all my teammates and ❤ the write up that Paul Erhardt shared in The Shooting Wire’s Between the Berms. Two fun interviews I would ❤ to share that feature my book, SHOOT, are from Shooting USA and GunZoo.com. I so enjoyed sitting down with Craig Lamb while I was in town filming for Shooting USA's Impossible Shots. You can read that interview here.  If you haven’t had a chance to check out GunZoo.com please do. The site not only offers up interviews like mine, you can also set up your own gun vault and connect with fellow shooters. ❤ it! I admit, I was pretty darn happy with my USPSA Single Stack win earlier in May. With just about a week of action pistol training prior to the NRA Bianchi Cup, my goal for this year’s Cup was to simply give it the best I could and represent my sponsors well. So when I found out my efforts were good enough to win the Ladies Title, I was ecstatic!  Sharing the victory with my teammate and Bianchi guru Doug Koenig was the cherry on top! Here are some links I’d ❤ to share with you from the event. My 2012 NRA Bianchi Cup Album on Flickr How cool is it that The Daily Caller shared the win? ❤❤❤ Smith & Wesson and Safariland press releases. NRA Blog’s coverage of the Bianchi Cup Feature Post from the Shooting Wire – Guns & Glamour That's all the time I have for link ❤ for now! Thanks for reading and I look forward to sharing more with you soon!

Favorite Moments from SHOT Show – SHOOT Signing | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 9:32

The National Shooting Sports Foundation's (NSSF) SHOT Show was simply HUGE. I fed off the energy the entire week and in my opinion, it was the best SHOT Show yet! When I started to jot down all my favorite moments from the show for a blog post, there were so many. Instead of one really long post, I am breaking it all down into mini posts over the next few days and even put together a podcast. Podcasting is definitely new ground for me but I put out some feelers last year and based on great feedback, I put together a little ten minute bit from the show. So if you enjoy podcasts, please click below and let me know what you think. JulieGPodcast - 2012 SHOT Show I covered this in the podcast, but one of the greatest moments for me was my book signing for Shoot: Your Guide to Shooting and Competition. Walking down the aisle on my way to the Rumpf Outdoor Titles booth for my first ever book signing, I was so nervous. All these thoughts were racing through my mind like... Would anyone be there? Will people like the book? Is it going to be well received? I wasn't able to recon and find the booth before the signing so I was worried about getting lost and being late. I was totally stressing! When I saw the booth and that there were actually people there waiting for me to arrive, I was just overwhelmed. In fact seeing everyone, having my dear friend Yamil Sued along with so many friends and supporters there, it was all I could do to not get all girly and weepy. Internally I was scolding myself, "you better not start tearing up in front of all these people!" It was so great to be able to connect with people about the book, talk with them about their shooting goals and answer questions. People introduced themselves from their Twitter and Facebook profiles. We chatted about different matches and getting new shooters involved and before I knew it, the hour flew by. I had three sessions scheduled over the first three days of the show and a big pile of books to sign thanks to Rumpf Outdoor Titles and Skyhorse Publishing. I can't tell you how incredible it felt to find out that we ran out of books, that it was that successful! People were so understanding too and I am very glad I thought to bring bookmarks to give away for those who weren't able to get a copy of the book. To everyone who stopped by, thank you SO MUCH for making it one of the most memorable moments of the show and my career!
