Although it wasn't the best Mario game, the Super Mario Bros 2 soundtrack was probably my favorite. Granted, the first game has that definitive sound, but the second one is just so darn catchy. Love that hook.So what's your favorite Super Mario Bros. soundtrack?Gypsy jazz Super Mario Bros. 2 (right click to save)
Floating around the internet today is a new video of single player Mario Kart action. The video shows Luigi in his new vacuum kart racing around a new town level with a bunch of NPCs and what seems to be some human players with logos over their heads. It's amazing looking stuff and it's only one month away!Right click to save as[by Rollin]
I just got done watching the Zelda: Twilight Princess trailer for about the umpteenth time. While it reminded me of the delay, it also made me realize that Nintendo probably did it with the game's best interest in mind. Here's why:I think it's fair to say that Nintendo has already taken the spotlight from Microsoft's pending 360 release in November, at least for now. But there still is plenty of time for MS to build some momentum prior to the launch. You gotta believe that Nintendo was excited to release arguably its biggest video game in the same month as its competitor's next console debut. That would have been a very smart business move like the Micro was. But they didn't do that, rather they opted to wait and make sure the game was all it could be.Sounds like Nintendo really does want the GameCube to go out with a bang. And Twilight Princess should be one heck of a way to do it. Don't get me wrong, the delay is still lame, but I can appreciate the company's commitment to quality gameplay.RESOURCES:Twilight Princess TrailerTwilight Princess Theme (right click to save)Zelda MP3 Files (Zelda Universe)
Here's another GC game that's on our radar. Super Mario Strikers drops stateside on 12/05/2005. You can download the new IGN preview by right clicking here to save. As always, the game looks super slick and should be a lot of fun to play. Check out that nasty Koopa Trooper cross early on in the trailer too. It's being said that if you liked Sega's Soccer Slam, you'll enjoy this title with a Nintendo twist.[Source: via 4cr]
Most of you have probably seen the DS Wi-Fi Ad that will start airing in the theaters across the US, but I wanted to know your thoughts on it. It won't win any awards, but it's slick, interesting, and gets you excited to see the final rollout of the wi-fi system. What do you think of the ad?
The folks over at IGN have posted some new media on Mario Baseball. If you're a baseball fan, go check it out. If you're into playing fun games which it's sure to be, go check it out.Watch VideoThanks Jonic!
More goodness that is Zelda. This game is gonna be some good loving. It is just such a good game (at least the series always has been). Always well done. For those wanting to download the new video, it's here: E3 Trailer (right click & save as). I'm anxious to see how it plays. Penny for your thoughts?
This video is simply amazing! Being the okay guitarist that I am, I must say this guy is very talented. And I just love the hair. For additional homage to Nintendo music, download the Video Game Pianist's excellent piano renditions of great Nintendo classics.
Alright, you guys have probably already seen this, but dang that's a good take on some creative gaming. The audio and overall presentation are a lil cheesy, but whoever did this put a lot of effort and thinking behind it. Nintendo On? I really hope they stick with Revolution. It's a solid name. Not too fancy, just right.
