Deck the halls! Lee and Dan are back with a Christmas podcast, find out the Christmas films that Lee and Dan are watching this season and what Christmas films they like. Well, well, well what do we have here then? Yes folks it's the long awaited return of the Midnight Movie Club but not with the expected Star Wars Episode 2 podcast.  This week's return to the midmoclub is the horror film The Thing chosen for reasons that are revealed in the podcast. Yes Dan watches a horror film!! John Carpenter, Kurt Russell and aliens! What more could you possibly ask for? Probably a podcast that talks all about it!! So we don't know when the next podcast will be but it'll probably be sooner than this one was and we're back watching the Star Wars saga (attempting to podcast about them all before the next one comes on!) with Star Wars Episode 2 Attack of the Clones. Please note that Lee did misidentify Martin Freeman's role in Love Actually - he was not a fluffer as such more of just a stand in.

On this week's podcast Lee and Dan visit a galaxy far, far away as they begin their Star Wars extravaganza with Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. This week in the podcast Lee and Dan speak at great lengths their new endeavour which will be running a marathon (the Tokyo Marathon at this stage). You can listen to the podcast which will explain everything... kind of or you can go read: "What I’m doing in 2016" (Dan's announcement) "Apparently I have plans for 2016" (Lee's announcement) Chaffed nipples feature very heavily in the audio announcement so that's why you should probably listen to that first! They also discuss: Fitocracy Bees Bruce Willis Skylanders JONES STORIES!!! Unfortunately the sound is a little off this week but it's probably the least of the podcast's problem. Two weeks and two podcasts! For some time now Lee and Dan have been promising to get their asses to Mars and talk about the Arnold Schwarzenegger scifi/action film Total Recall and now the wait is over The boys discuss the non Total Recall things that they've been watching: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Breaking Bad Battleship Starship Troopers Invasion (Starship Troopers 4) Big Brother Australia Dan has been reading stuff as well!  The book Redshirts which you can also read an expanded review over on Dan's blog. There's a lot to talk about and we'll warn you up front that this is another quite long podcast but it will have to tide you over for a couple of weeks anyway so pace yourself out! Also the segment that you all love is back Dan once again goes through people's Facebook profiles and mispronounces their last names in truly epic style! Oh my how the weeks have rolled by and not a word from Lee and Dan the entire time, well except occasionally over on Facebook and probably to people around them such as immediate family etc. But nothing on movies!?!?! Well all that changes right now as we proudly present: Lee and Dan watch The Fifth Element and discuss the Dark Knight and answer Ian's questions and complain about stuff and make fun of Arjan and talk about the olympics and mention hovercrafts AND Pacey! Which did not fit perfectly on the new badges that Dan hopes to one day release so we'll probably just go with the usual Midnight Movie Club title instead. So here it is: We hoped that you enjoyed the podcast and hopefully it won't be too long before the boys are back again, in the meantime go and leave a comment below and come over the the Facebook page to have a chat!! So Lee wanted to watch Lethal Weapon. Dan suggested that he also watch Lethal Weapon and maybe do a podcast. Lee heartily agreed and thus a Lethal Weapon podcast episode was born. Not only do the the boys actually discuss Lethal Weapon at some length they also manage to talk about Lego Batman, Mass Effect 2 & 3, Scottish politics, some pallet summerhouse thing and a whole bunch of other stuff. Now we could write a whole bunch of other stuff to try and convince you to listen to the podcast but you already know you want to!! Now next time Lee and Dan are offering to answer YOUR questions and you can post your questions on Facebook, here in the comments, on Twitter or by email. Also if you think you can convince him apparently Lee has agreed to watch Willow, but only if you guys convince him.

*tap tap* *tap tap* is this thing still on?... Yes, it's the triumphant return of the Midnight Movie Club! Well, sort of. We've recorded another episode anyhow, and much fun we had doing it too. So sit back and relax as you listen to us clear up such eternal questions such as: - Does Frank Miller have a scraggly rat beard? - What is Dan doing in his garden with old pallets? - What did the boys think of The Avengers movie? - Is Prometheus too scary for Dan? - Who won that Amazon voucher contest? And of course Lee and Dan also talk about the 1999 Sci-fi comedy Galaxy Quest. Hurrah! We spoil you people, we really do. No concrete plans as to when the next episode will be as yet, but watch out for announcements over on the Facebook page

After taking advantage of a technical problem last week and having a week off Lee and Dan are back this week with the last of the 90's Batman films.  Some would suggest that Batman and Robin is the worst of all the Batman films, some would suggest that it's the worst film of all time and Lee and Dan have entered this murky world to bring you their thoughts on the matter. How cool. Sigh. Also on the podcast Lee and Dan discuss the flogging of blogs, cabbagedan.com, quityourdayjob.com.au and fantasymoviepodcast.com for example. You can possibly still enter the Amazon competition, depending on when you're reading this. Lee wants to either: live on the International Space Station join a semi secret organisation, that will give him a ring but won't ask him to participate (a funny little hat would be welcomed as well). To make any sense of this you will just need to listen to the podcast: Support the podcast by buying crap you don't need! After the stunning success of last episode's flogging of the pointy asian inspired Batman thing this week Lee and Dan are once again selling out by telling you to buy something else! This week's very useful item is a bullet proof clipboard. Yup. Bulletproof Body Armor Clipboard Good Midmoclubbers DO NOT shoot guns at each other. Next week: After thirteen seconds of discussion Lee and Dan are throwing their combined might behind a push for Bill and Ted 3 by watching Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey instead of Catwoman. Excellent.

 Michael Keaton and Tim Burton are out and Val Kilmer and Joel Schumacher are in. Is this a turn for the better? Will Lee and Dan fall in love with the Schumacher Batmobile?  Three things are sure, apparently chicks dig the car, blacklight paint poses a huge problem to the peace in Gotham City and you're going to have to listen to the podcast to find out what the boys thought. Apart from Batman Forever Lee and Dan chat about such issues as: Dan having to go back to work, Lee getting kicked out of his building Problems with iTunes, these things didn't happen when Steve was about Dan's watching Supernatural and Burn Notice Movies about kids killing kids don't have enough laughs (Dan's review of Hunger Games) Lee's watching Friday Night Lights the television series but has a grudge against the film Lee's been reading She-Hulk comics, Dan's reading DC 52. After many technical problems with last week's Batman the Movie podcast we are hoping that those of you who subscribe via iTunes will be able to see this week's episode (and hopefully last week's will show up eventually). Let us know in a couple of days if this hasn't happened and we'll talk to the people that we need to talk with (primarily this means poking Lee with a pointy stick). So after watching the 1989 Tim Burton Batman film some time ago Lee and Dan pushed ahead into the second Burton Batman film Batman Returns. Dan has been making marmalade and Tracey wants some and Lee asked Dan not to send any... it's all very complicated Trendy badges!!!! Lee and Dan flog their new podcast Airbending with Lee and Dan. Lee's predictions of interwebz domination did not come to fruition. Dan and Lee wade into the uproar of the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle furor. Lee takes us on a chocolate easter egg tangent. Time to sit back and enjoy this week's Midnight Movie club: During the podcast Dan and Lee got a little deep and analysing of the film so let us know your thoughts about Batman Returns. Holy podcast Batman!! Yes this week the boys are travelling back to the 1966 Adam West version of Batman. Also Dan is a little hyped up as he is now fallen off the wagon and is now back drinking Diet Coke. Lee got a package in the mail from his Mum and proceeds to simply list everything contained within, fair warning given. Dan is invited by some Red Dwarf guy to go talk about something, but he isn't going to. Dan also went to the theatre to experience the CGI extravaganza that is Sherlock Holmes. Lee has a Superman figurine with no cape and his arms move really quickly like he is running. Dan has been blowing his money on Skylanders (and will no doubt continue to). Space shuttles with monster truck wheels are awesome. The new Prometheus trailer. Lee and Dan are almost too scared to see this at the cinema. The trailer for Lego Batman 2. The trailer for Dark Shadows.
