Apple announced last month that it would bring graphic chip development in house, giving its deal with Imagination Technologies only two more years. Now, Imagination announced plans to sell off two of its businesses, as well as starting a dispute process with Apple to keep the deal alive.Iain Thomson at the Register says that over the past few months, hackers have used vulnerabilities in the Signaling System Number Seven Protocol or SS7 to empty the bank accounts of some Germans. And before you say, "they should have turned on 2-factor!" They did. SS7 is part of how cell phones communicate with each other and the hole allows very sophisticated cyber criminals to grab the 2-factor codes in transit.SpaceX has a plans to send internet-beaming satellites into orbit starting in 2019 ahead of lighting up its network in 2024. The community operations team around the world already includes 4,500 reviewers of the millions of reports the company gets every week. It was unclear from Zuckerberg's post whether the reviewers would be Facebook employees or contract workers.Hulu is getting into the Live content game with Hulu Live TV, a new paid service tier that brings 60 live channels for $39.99 per month with 50 hours of cloud DVR, with the option to add premium channels like Showtime for an extra monthly fee of $8.99. An additional monthly fee of $19.99 adds 200 hours of cloud DVR storage, commercial skipping, and unlimited screens when connected at the home.Ars Technica says that Microsoft's Edge browser and Bing search are set as unchangeable defaults in Microsoft's new Windows 10 S operating system. The National Security Agency is ending its warrant-less wiretapping program that targeted American communications that in any way mentioned the names of foreigners currently under surveillance. The NSA issued a statement saying it will end the program, as well as delete the majority of upstream data generated from it.The voice of the Amazon Echo is getting more human. The company says new Speech Synthesis Markup Language or SSLM will allow developers to create skills that feature whispering, bleeping out swear words, spelling out words, speaking at different volumes or rates, and more. So, it's only a matter of time before the robot steals our jobs.Facebook is riddled with video content that has been lifted and republished from the original sources. The ruling imposes a fine of $7.8 million and new rules require Google to loosen its exclusive placement of apps on Android devices, including allowing users to select a competing search engine during setup. Tesla just slashed prices on its Model S. The 75 kilowatt-hour version will get a price cut of $7,500, which means it will start at $69,500, which is still $1,500 more than the price of the previous entry-level Model S Tesla that is now discontinued.
