03/27/12: Clark Kellogg sets up one of the biggest Final Fours ever | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:31:30

CBS Final Four color analyst Clark Kellogg comes back on the pod to chat his kid (Nick Kellogg, whose Ohio team made the Sweet 16), this incredible field of Final Four teams and what it's like to do this for a month. Being a key guy on a major network and getting to call Final Four games is not something you merely apply for. Kellogg has transitioned from studio host to color man with ease, and it's great to get inside his mind and discover how he works his craft so well. We hope you enjoy this special Tuesday podcast -- we'll have at least two more coming later this week.

03/26/12: Doyel details the Final Four | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:27:07

CBSSports.com national columnist Gregg Doyel joins host Matt Norlander to set up what could be the most epic Final Four of the past 20 years. Kentucky vs. Louisville? Are you kidding? The hype for this matchup could actually be unlike anything college basketball has ever seen. Outside of the Bluegrass State bombast, the two discuss that other, you know, really great matchup between Ohio State and Kansas. And outside of that, Doyel gives us his impressions of the NCAAs up to this point. Has the tournament been a letdown? Are Lehigh and Norfolk State's wins the defining moment of this tournament?

03/22/12: How our tournament-viewing experiences are changing forever | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:27:47

It's a special bonus podcast this week! The most reliable man on the Internet for sports videos, GIFs, screencaps and commentary is back. Deadspin's Tim Burke, who is also the founder of the house of fun that is Mocksession.com, hops on to discuss how much better/crazier/more evolved sports fans will become in the next decade thanks to advancements in both tech and production philosophies on behalf of TV networks. You think we're going to just watch games and check Twitter five years from now? No, the game will most definitely change. Burke is also an Ohio University alumnus, so his appearance is perfectly appropriate and timely, as he can pom-pom for his Bobcats in advance to their Sweet 16 game Friday night against North Carolina.

03/21/12: Kendall Marshall's injury, coaches on the move and changing our Final Four picks | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:43:50

Matt Norlander brings back on those two rascals, Gary Parrish and Jeff Goodman, to look ahead to the second weekend of the NCAA tournament. Almost all the games are discussed, as is the coaching situations at Mississippi State, Illinois, VCU, South Carolina, Kansas State and Murray State. And of course these guys did not nail their Final Four picks, so a re-do is in order.

03/19/12: What we loved and learned from the first 48 games | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:32:43

Two of the Web's best media digesters/analysts make their podcast debuts to discuss the play, the production and the TV experience from the first weekend of the NCAAs. Quickish founder Dan Shanoff and Sports Business Journal media ace John Ourand share their opinions on CBS and Turner's second year of broadcasting four games on four channels; the March Madness Live experiment on the Internet; why Twitter is the best sports bar you can attend; and what the biggest story lines going forward are for the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight.

03/16/12: Ken Pomeroy evaluates the Round of 64, looks ahead to the weekend | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:32:02

Hello from Portland! How'd you like that Thursday? A lot went to bed feeling underwhelmed. Friday's podcast brings Ken Pomeroy back on. Ken's been writing a lot of stuff recently, stuff which host Matt Norlander had to spar with him a bit on. A 16 beating a 1 is supposed to happen this year, or so he says. He also thinks 3-point offense is something that can't really be controlled by teams' defense. How? We get into that. It's all tournament talk, start to finish. Good convo and certainly something you want to squeeze in at some point during your all-day watch session.

03/13/12: Syracuse program looks worse with Melo news | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:34:17

The news that Fab Melo has been ruled ineligible due to a grades issue -- keeping him out of the NCAA tournament -- means that you've probably eliminated SU from reaching the Final Four. Normally, Gary Parrish and Jeff Goodman join Norlander for the Wednesday podcast, but since the Melo stuff is so big, we're getting this pod out on a Tuesday. Goodman checks in with his reporting on the issue, the guys address why Syracuse's reputation is pretty terrible right now, and look at grade/academic issues in college basketball in general. Don't worry -- there is bracket talk, too. Goodman and Parrish give their impressions of the field of 68 and make a few predictions. Plus: does UNC need to worry about John Henson's wrist? We have the answer as to whether or not he'll play by the weekend.

03/12/12: Brackets, brackets, brackets. And more brackets. | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:42:41

The bracket is finally here -- and we can't stop talking about. Host Matt Norlander brings on colleague Jeff Borzello to talk about every angle of this field of 68. We know how you feel -- and we tap into it. You've got questions, convictions and qualifications about your picks. We promise all of them are touched on this pod. You can't stop absorbing everything related to the NCAA tournament. Neither can we. Click and enjoy.

 03/07/12: Checking in from MSG | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:25:17

The podcast gets personal. Matt Norlander and Jeff Goodman record together from the Marriot Marquis hotel in Times Square, but don't worry -- Gary Parrish is on as usual for the Wednesday edition. The trio sticks to conference-tournament talk, as well as some Selection Sunday predictions.

03/05/12: Arch Madness, March Madness and Championship Week | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:40:43

Sports Illustrated multi-faceted writer Luke Winn joins the podcast once again, and boy do we have a ton to talk about. What we promise: no bracketology talk! You can get that all over CBSSports.com. The Monday pod looks back at the great weekend in conference tournament play, as well as the wrap-up of the regular season in big-league games. Luke has a big story coming out in SI this week, so he talks in advance of that, plus he and host Matt Norlander take questions from Twitter followers on the Big Ten, Big East, SEC, ACC and tournament in general.

03/02/12: Proof of the teams playing well and poorly heading into the NCAAs | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:31:25

The podcast brings on first-time guest Dan Hanner. He's a very smart writer for RealGM.com, doing analysis that's extremely valuable and extremely unique. Hanner and host Matt Norlander touch on things such as tangible proof of recruiting and developing players. Which coaches do it the best? Ben Howland does, and in the wake of the UCLA news, shouldn't he be given some credit? There's also a trend happening between teams playing extremely well--and not so well. Which ones are tournament-bound, and probably the ones you should avoid picking in your bracket? The two also touch on some of their favorite March memories and discuss how they began to love the sport so much.

02/29/12: Are UCLA's problems fairly common in college basketball? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:41:40

In the immediate wake of Sports Illustrated's piece on Ben Howland, Reeves Nelson and the culture of no accountability at UCLA, the podcast addresses why it's, really, not a huge deal. Nelson is no longer on the team, UCLA has a big recruiting class coming in -- and you could likely find these sorts of problems at most places not winning consistently right now. Why it's bad: Ben Howland's reputation takes a hit and it's unclear whether he ever separates himself from the past few years of bad chemistry and bad basketball. Aside from UCLA, Matt Norlander, Jeff Goodman and Gary Parrish touch on why UConn doesn't deserve an NCAA berth, if Draymond Green is worthy of the Player of the Year talking with Anthony Davis and Thomas Robinson; Ohio State; low-seeded teams they love to go far; and a verbal attack on Norlander from the other two over his final Power Pyramid.

02/27/12: Jerry Palm hates all teams equally | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:38:39

CBSSports.com bracketlogist Jerry Palm isn't afraid to tell you how he really feels. Or, rather, how he thinks the tournament selection committee does, and will, when it picks the field of 68. Palm owns and operates CollegeRPI.com and he's Monday's guest on the podcast because he's got the at-large crop pinned down as well as anyone. He and Matt Norlander hit on a plethora of teams and their current situations. But there's more to today's episode than just talking teams and pontificating about their seed status. Palm is a Purdue grad, and so he gets to vent about the Boilers. If you want a good view of how the next two weeks will break down, get to listening.

02/24/12: Seth Davis is back again and still defending the RPI | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:37:25

One of CBS' premier college basketball analysts joins Matt Norlander again on the podcast. Seth Davis is preparing to basically spend the next month sleeping at CBS headquarters, as he'll be providing insight and analysis for the network. So before he hunkers down, it was time to get him back on the pod. Seth and Matt have disagreements on the RPI's legitimacy -- and on Jordan Taylor's value and his season so far. The two also get into Duke. Why is the perception of this team so different and varied from week to week? Other topics: Draymond Green, defending the "bad" officials, tips on how to get the most out of your treadmill running. At the end of the pod, the guys share stories of how they fell in love with college basketball and March Madness when they were younger.

02/22/12: Kentucky approaching its prime; why we're OK with court storms | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:38:30

Parrish had a drunk college kid help him with a flat tire. Goodman listens to Nickelback. This podcast keeps drifting away from college basketball -- but not for too long. The guys join host Matt Norlander to discuss Kentucky and its apparanet inevitable date with the Final Four. The comeback win at Mississippi State was ho-hum, and that's why the Cats look nearly unbeatable right now. In addition to UK talk, what about Jim Calhoun at UConn? Should/will he coach in the huge home game against Syracuse Saturday? And what's the program going to be when he leaves, whether that's this spring, next year or five years from now? The trio also squeezes in their opinions on rushing the floor and why it's OK. Then there's the story about Goodman hanging from a goal post. This is pretty much a mandatory listen today.
