The MLS season is finally underway! Garrett and Jon take a look back at the weekend, giving thoughts and observations from all the weekend's games including discussion on Sunday's thrillers and a Saturday's curtain-raisers. They welcome Stephen Eastepp, the Ordinary Orange Fan, who talks about the Houston Dynamo's opening victory against D.C. United. Eastepp, also a close observer of Liga MX, gives an insightful preview of the Dynamo's CONCACAF Champions League match Tuesday night against Santos. The guys continue the CCL talk with Jon giving his impressions of the teams MLS clubs will face in the quarterfinals. They also continue their MLS weekend review and each give their three stars for the weekend - with the twist that no goalscorers are allowed. All that and more on today's MLS in 30.

We had hoped to bring you an exciting episode where we got the inside scoop on what was going on behind-the-scenes with the Obafemi Martins transfer. Unfortunately, the deal remained in limbo at recording and we decided it was better to wait on that until it comes to a conclusion. In the meantime, Aaron and I spoke at length about the positives and negatives to come out of the loss to the Montreal Impact. It was a disappointing result, to say the least, but after one game we think it might be a little early to hit the panic button. In the second segment, we welcomed Pro Soccer Talk's Richard Farley (@RichardFarley) to the show to give us a little insight into Wednesday's opponent, UANL Tigres. He also gives us more of a national perspective on the Martins transfer. Finally, we close by taking questions from our listeners. Sorry we didn't get to them all, but we answered quite a few.
