Noa and I got to go to WWE Extreme Rules in Newark, NJ and I had the bright idea to record a recap show on the car ride back. Follow Squared Circle Pit on Facebook and Twitter.  Subscribe to Metal Injection podcasts on iTunes (please leave a rating/review as well). Feel free to leave some feedback in the comments about what you thought of the show and any future guests you'd like to see. Special thanks to Hugh Myrone for the intro music.

 Open Metalcast Episode #129: Traditional / Experimental | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 38:17

While the Open Metalcast interns scour the net for Creative Commons Metal Music (contrary to popular belief it's not just one person searching Bandcamp on the Monday Evening before the show drops. Nope, not that at all) we've noticed a lot of tags for the music we find. One tag that can be a mixed bag is "experimental", which can lead to some truly unique music, or can lead to something that sounds akin to, well, something else. Fortunately our crack team of interns (and not one guy on a Monday Evening) have steeled him, er, themselves against such sonic barrages to bring you the finest in Creative Commons Metal Music. Plus we have some straight up metal to punish your earholes. We have tracks from Maleceptor, Back to R'lyeh, VII ARC, Goatfather, La Agonía de Vivir, The Grajo side of the latest ATAVISMO & GRAJO split, Batchlight, and Cratylik Feat BassToss. We can't thank our interns enough for taking a few hits here and there for the team, and once we clean up the mess maybe we can have some more. Shownotes after the break. * (00:11) Maggot Infested Munter by MALECEPTOR from Digest the Damned (BY-NC-ND) * (03:45) Warnings by Back To R'lyeh from The Awakening / Last Fight of the Primordial (BY-NC-ND) * (10:13) DΩXA by VII ARC from DΩXA (BY-NC-ND) * (15:15) As The Crow Cries by Goatfather from Hipster Fister (BY-NC-ND) * (19:11) Sitio by La Agonía de Vivir from LADV01 – ASEDIO "el último invierno" 12" (AGOTADO / SOLD OUT!!!) (BY-NC-ND) * (21:26) Feeding Our Demons by Grajo from ATAVISMO & GRAJO split (BY-NC-ND) * (27:38) Criminals by Catchlight from Amaryllis (BY-NC-SA) * (34:01) Maître après mètres ft BassToss by Cratylik Feat BassToss from None (BY-SA) Please support the bands in this show!  Squared Circle Pit #5 - EVERY TIME I DIE's Andy Williams Talks Training To Be A Pro Wrestler | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:18:46

This edition of the wrestling-meets-metal podcast features very special guest, Andy Williams, guitarist of Every Time I Die, and professional wrestler in training. Of all the episodes recorded of Squared Circle Pit so far, this was the longest, because we just had so much to talk about. We kicked off the conversation discussing what inspired Andy to pursue training for pro wrestling, and he revealed that CM Punk was his inspiration. We discuss his training and how preparing for a rock gig compares to preparing for a match. We go deep talking about independent promotions like PWG, ROH, CZW as well as old-school NWA, and a lot more.  Have I mentioned it was a really fun conversation? Follow Squared Circle Pit on Facebook and Twitter.  Subscribe to Metal Injection podcasts on iTunes (please leave a rating/review as well). Feel free to leave some feedback in the comments about what you thought of the show and any future guests you'd like to see. Special thanks to Hugh Myrone for the intro music.

Full Metal Hipster #44 - Heavy Metal Heat With NIGHT DEMON and VISIGOTH | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 56:50

Welcome to episode #44 of the Full Metal Hipster podcast. This week I have interviews with Jarvis Leatherby who sings and plays bass in Night Demon (Facebook) (I incorrectly said he played guitar in the podcast) and Jake Rogers who's Visigoth's (Facebook) singer. Both band's releases stellar debuts last year and they're touring North America together right now. They're playing New York City this Friday 4/29/2016 and you should definitely come out and join me if you live in the Big Apple. Enjoy this heavy metal heat, y'all! If you’re an iTunes user, don’t forget to subscribe to Full Metal Hipster, and leave me some good reviews/5 star ratings for God’s sake!  The Full Metal Hipster Playlist #01 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 42:17

Okay, so I'm trying something new out. I'm going to post 2 podcasts a week for a while to see how that goes. One will be a  playlist episode that's strictly music and the other will be the interview episode you're already accustomed to. Why am I doing this? Because I'm a masochist and also because I know some of you prefer the music episodes and others prefer the interview episodes. So hopefully this satisfies all of you demanding bastards! If you’re an iTunes user, don’t forget to subscribe to Full Metal Hipster, and leave me some good reviews/5 star ratings for God’s sake! If you’re not an Apple fanboy, you can stream or download each episode from my website FullMetalHipster.com, my Stitcher page, or on the podcast host site.  Open Metalcast Episode #128: Unintended acts of human kindness | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 39:05

This week I got a strange note from one of my friends who wondered if I was moving in. Apparently on my recent order of CDs from Hypnotic Dirge Records I accidentally left it on the last shipping address I used. That address was his address from when I last sent him some CDs for Christmas. I had a few moments of confusion until I realized what was going on. But it all worked out because these were albums that I know he'd like anyway, so in a way it was an unintended act of human kindness. So Hypnotic Dirge Records got another order from me, and my friend got some amazing music. The moral of the story? Buy more music, share more music, and support the bands you love, even if it's unintentional. What is intentional is the collection of tracks we have for you this episode. We have tracks from Shardana, The Look of Time, Twisted Wrath, Negative Voice, Mahidevran, and a brand new track from SUNNATA. Send them to all of your friends who will listen (and the friends who won't listen. ;) ). Shownotes after the break: * (00:10) Shardana (Kadesh) by Shardana from No Cadena, No Presoni, No Spada, No Lei (BY-NC-ND) * (03:15) The Pinnacle of Hypocrisy by The Loom of Time from NihilReich (BY-NC-SA) * (07:52) To The Sword by Twisted Wrath from Madman's Chorus (BY-NC-ND) * (11:35) Instant by Negative Voice from Cold Redrafted (BY-ND) * (17:44) Karma by Land Of The Sun from Land Of The Sun (BY-NC-ND) * (23:03) Parable by Mahidevran from Singl Parable (BY-NC-SA) * (30:27) Zorya by SUNNATA from Zorya (BY-NC-ND) Please support the bands in this show! Buy a T-Shirt, buy an album, head to the shows, or surprise your friends with their music. Whatever you can do to help these bands keep making music, please do it!  METAL INJECTION LIVECAST #356 - Pugachoverit | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:59:12

This was a jam-packed episode of the Livecast. We kick things off with Noa and Rob discussing Noa's birthday party and watching UFC. We then get into a deep discussion about the death of Chyna. Our guest, Alex Martel of Amnesia Rock Fest called in and discussed what it takes to put a festival together. Longtime listener Max called in and we played his band Light of Disaster, which sounds nothing like Alla Pugacheva. We closed the show with some listener mail and a call from the biggest Prince fan we know, our friend Bob. Please help support the show and pick up a brand new t-shirt. Click below for all the choices: Listen to the Metal Injection Livecast on Stitcher, Google Play or on iTunes (please leave a rating/review as well).
