The Video Games Show

After being off an additional week due to illness, schedule conflicts and flooding, the crew of Rich, Bob, Jake, Chuck and Matt return.  Despite being faced with a slow news week (we had one story...that's it...one), thankfully we were able to still have a full episode.  In addition to the one news story, we covered emails, we finally (sorry we ignored you) hit up Twitter questions, discuss the latest MO Game Con news (hint, tickets on sale now, VIP tickets going fast, go to www.mogamecon.com for a link to buy your tickets now), and so much more.

So, just to clarify a couple of things.  First, all apologies for the audio interference that occurs throughout the show.  We had a short in a cable that was not discovered until after the show was recorded.  We did our best to post edit, but it is still in the background a bit.  The cable has been replaced and it should not happen again. Second, before recording, we had an amazing chicken dinner.  How amazing was it?  Well, let's put it this way.  You know people get kinda nutty if they eat a bunch of sweets?  Sort of like that, but instead we got hyped on chicken.  It made for an interesting show to say the least.  I'm just going to leave it there.  You'll have to listen to find out.

Our little Jake found his way home to Game Trader 2 and we have a full house for this news filled episode of VGS.  Much is discussed including GameStop closing stores, Mad Catz going out of business, Humble Bundle awesomeness, Destiny 2, and so much more.

Jake no showed again due to baby goats.  Questions about that?  Be sure to ask Jake directly by commenting on one of his YouTube videos.  He responds to call questions.  Anyway, the show goes on.  Rich, Matt, Bob & Chuck are still in recovery from the latest Game Trader 2 event and the game industry is not providing much material.  Still, the boys pull it together and put on a show for your listening pleasure.

Well, what can we say, this is our Nintendo Switch episode.  Yes, I know if t feels like we have talked about the Switch a ton, but now that the thing has been released, we need to discuss that.  Tune in as Rich, Chuck, Bob and Matt discuss the launch of the Switch, the games on the Switch, reported Switch issues and more.  Rich also discusses his time playing Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Wii U, we go through listener email, we promote an awesome even coming up at Game Trader 2 on March 18 (go to facebook.com/gametraderii for all the details), 30 seconds of Bob and more!

After a three week absence (thanks Valentines), Rich, Chuck, Bob and Jake return for an all new VGS episode.  The buys finally award the Golden Bang Howdies, but before getting to that, there is heavy discussion about the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo as a whole, weirdest things Bob and Jake ate growing up, and some other side topics.  Hey, this is what happens when the guys don't get to record for three straight weeks.

Finally after some delays and whatnot, the Golden Bang Howdy Awards are upon us.  In addition to emails and news, the crew of Rich, Jake, Chuck, Matt & Bob sit down, comb through email votes, Facebook votes, and each of their personal opinions and come up a list of nominees.  Be sure to keep an eye on the FB page for your chance to vote on each of the awards.  Also, we pretty much lose our damn minds twice during this.

The VGS crew welcomes in 2017 in a big, bad way with the first episode of the year.  First off, the one and only Mr. Nick Kraftor joins Rich, Chuck and Bob in all the excitement.  The best way to describe this episode is a cross between VGS and Bombed Out Radio.  We go on some very odd rants on this one.  Best just take a deep breath and dive in headfirst.  Also, listen and and check out the VGS Facebook page for a chance to win a 1 Year PlayStation Plus card!!!

(Recorded 12.13.16) I think the intention was for this to be a Christmas special episode, but it did not pan out that way.  In fact, there is 95% less Christmas in this Christmas episode than any other VGS Christmas episode.  That being said, it is still a darn good episode.  Join Rich, Chuck and Bob as they discuss news, the return of a certain awards show, 30 Seconds of Bob, and so much more.

Post Thanksgiving and hot on the heels of Christmas, the crew returns for a new VGS.  Rich, Chuck, Jake & Bob sit around the table and discuss all kinds of crazy things, from child birth, Jake's obsession with Limited Run Games, Sony's keynote, one crazy Metroid code that can have killer consequences, why we all might go to Build-A-Bear, and so much more.

On the eve of International Party Day USA, the crew of VGS sits for one last time...before stuffing themselves with turkey and all kinds of Thanksgiving goodness.  This week Rich, Chuck, Jake, Bob and special guest/World Record holder P.J. Walsh sit down and discuss the limited news of the week, Rich apologizes and rips into Nintendo for making him apologize, P.J. discusses breaking world records, Black Friday days, what we are thankful for, your emails, a contest announcement, and more.  So sit back and let the sounds of VGS guide you to your post turkey coma nap.
