The San Francisco Craft Brewers Guild teamed up with Slow Food USA to put on a great festival featuring craft beer and artisan foods. The BN broadcast live from the event and interviewed the organizers and participants.
Bay Area beer journalist William Brand joins us in the studio to talk about the history of beer writing and how the media treats beer today. We also taste some listener beer, Shaun O'Sullivan helps out and emerging rock star Shat Stevens sings the BN's new hit single. Oh and Producer Shat's mom calls in for the first time ever!
Jamil Zainasheff returns to The Session to discuss brewing for the upcoming National Homebrew Competition. Tasty McDole and Jamil cover all things competition to get you producing the best beer possible and have a strong showing at the largest homebrew comp in the world.
Chris LaPierre from Iron Hill Brewing Company joins The Session this week to talk about their many beers, homebrewing, barrel aging and sour beer.
