The Brewing Network Presents - The Session

The Session returns to Sunday night this week with another huge broadcast featuring New Mexico's La Cumbre Brewing Company and Oregon's Ninkasi Brewing Company. Ninkasi founder Jamie Floyd will join the Brewcasters in-studio, while La Cumbre founder Jeff Erway joins the show from his brewery in Albuquerque. Tune in for a loaded show with two of the most accomplished brewmasters around and hear all about the competitive and commercial success their beers have enjoyed in just a few short years.

The Session broadcasts on Monday night this week! Get ready for an action-packed show featuring owner/brewer Clay Robinson of Indiana's Sun King Brewing Company. Tune in and learn all about Clay and co-owner Dave Colt, a dynamic duo who racked up a plethora of awards brewing together at Indianapolis's RAM Brewery before founding Sun King, which became the first full-scale production brewery to open in Indy since 1948.

The Brewcasters are back this week with Mazen Hajjar, the founder and CEO of Beirut's 961 Beer. Tune in to hear his amazing journey from investment banker to airline executive to brewmaster, as well as the challenges of operating Lebanon's only microbrewery and managing its breakneck growth.

This week, brewmaster Fal Allen of Anderson Valley Brewing Company will return to The Session, and this time he'll be in the flesh at the Rat Pad. Tune in to hear the latest from one of Northern California's most prolific breweries, after a 2011 that saw them start to distribute their beer in cans, raise nearly 100,000 dollars for local non-profits, and win yet another GABF gold medal.

This week, The Session welcomes Matt Potts and Mark Tilley of Destihl Restaurant and Brew Works. Tune in as founder/brewmaster Matt and cellarman Mark talk about the popularity of their un-blended sours, what it takes to brew more than 50 styles of beer throughout the year, and their plans to distribute in the notoriously tough Chicago market. Also, true to their homebrewed roots, the Brewcasters cover hop utilization in the whirlpool.

The Session is back for its first broadcast of 2012 with Jen Talley, the newly named brewmaster of Washington's legendary Redhook Brewing Company. Tune in to hear all about her transition to large-scale production at Redhook from her previous gig brewing for Squatters Pubs in Utah.

The crew is back on the air with the first Sunday Session of what looks to be a December to remember. This week, New York-based author Joshua Bernstein will join the Brewcasters in-studio to discuss the writing of his first book, Brewed Awakening. Tune in to hear Josh's take on new industry trends, as well as his experiences as a beer journalist writing for hundreds of newspapers, magazines and websites over the past decade.

What the heck is a Tied House, anyway? And who is Hermitage Brewing Company? Tune in to this Sunday Session to find out the answers to these and other pressing questions, as the Brewcasters welcome to the studio Ron Manabe, veteran brewmaster and senior vice president of the Bay Area's Tied House Brewery and Cafe and Hermitage Brewing Company. This week on The Session, despite a fantastic scheduled guest from Boulder Beer Company, The Session manages to discuss everything but beer. Jeff Brown from Boulder Beer was scheduled to join tonight but travelling and technology got in the way. We'll reschedule him soon, but in the meantime, Beevo brings the new baby by the studio and we get to know her new "friends".
