"The Razor and the Mirror" | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:59:00

"The Razor and the Mirror" by Author Christian-Michelle Dickerson "The story about a child abused and abandoned by most. Befriended by a few and finding little salvation even from God. The Razor and the Mirror will haunt you for the remainder of your life. The reader will never again look at a child and assume that all is well in that child’s life. If the fact that this is a true story isn’t compelling enough, then dwell on, if only for a moment, what you have read and try to convince yourself that horrors such as those written about in this book no longer occur in today’s society. "The language is at times jolting, the message however is abundantly clear. Never, never again should anyone be able to violate the innocence of children. Once read, those who will read The Razor and the Mirror will never again be able to see a brutalized child and not act, nor will they be able to hear the cries of a little one and remain silent.  "Moving. Revealing. Powerful!  Christian-Michelle is on a mission from God to eradicate the pain and suffering of abuse victims."  --Dr. Gigi Lamont © Christian-Michelle Dickerson ORDER YOUR COPY TODAY

NO LONGER SILENT by Tammy Gagnon   Tammy woke up one night to find her paternal grandfather kneeling beside the bed, his hand stroking her private parts.  He warned her to be quiet or risk “getting her ass whipped.”  That touching quickly escalated to oral sex and other intimacies.   Tammy Gagnon was just nine year old when this molestation filled her young mind with guilt and rage.    Like so many other victims of this horrendous crime, she felt the blame was hers, not the abusers. Under the strict rule that “what happens in our house stays in our house” and could not be discussed even with other family members, Tammy could not fill her desperate need to share her distress.   Despite her dysfunctional home life—the physical abuse of family members by her alcoholic father and the austerity of her rigid mother who cloaked very controversy with silence—Tammy’s early childhood was relatively comfortable. She was well-behaved at home and an “A” student in school.   At age 14, as her body began to mature and her emotional needs changed, the consequences of the trauma bottled-up within her became evident. Tammy ran away from home with a carnival roust-about. The drinking she had begun a year earlier increased and her addiction to drugs began.   Over the next five years, she ran away from home repeatedly in a frantic search for a way to expunge the furies that ravaged her mind....  “My Journey to Peace” | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:47:00

“My Journey to Peace” What is peace? I started asking this question to people as I journeyed to find peace myself.  When I ask the question, people, without fail, have to think hard about what it means to them. They then have to think about whether or not they have personally found it.  The truth is that I did not think about my own peace until God instructed me that I would be writing a book about it. I was riding in my car in February 2005 and I heard God speak to me.  I was accustomed to hearing His voice, so I was certain that it was God and not my own little imagination.  First, He gave me the title; I questioned Him as to what the words meant. He responded that they were the title of a book I was writing.  I of course said that I was not writing a book, because at the time I was neither writing a book or considering the task.  Prior to this project, I had only written poetry and a small number of Bible studies; so I was a little surprised to hear the voice of God telling me that I was writing a book.  As it turned out, I had been living my book and now He wanted it in writing. According to Carol Lynne Watson, author of My Journey to Peace, “There is a great amount of peace in living the life you choose. When you are living your life “on purpose”, doing the things that bring you joy and contentment, you will find happiness and that happiness leads to peace. You have to find your own peace. I did not always take the bold steps toward peace. Then something very simple happened.” Call-in LIVE to find out how Ms. Watson found her peace and how you too can live your life “on purpose” and find the peace you desire, as well!   Copyright © 2008 Carol Lynn Watson http://pecantreepress.com/titles.aspx
