Is it me or am I seeing more couples throw away double digit years of marriage?  Over the past few months I've met members of four couples who have either recently gotten divorce or are on their way.  All four couples have been married for at least nine years.  What makes a person say "adios" after that length of time as husband and wife? Was the marriage just for the kids? Is it because it's so easy to be older and still get your flirt on these days? Or is it because marriage is no longer the respected union it once was? To kick off Black History Month we will discuss some fundamental differences between white people and black people.  Sure we should all be equal and all of that jazz, but let's face it: we're not.  Nor will we be in my my generation's lifetime or the generation after that.   The reason being is that this country was built on racism.  If you plant an apple tree then no matter how hard you try to splice it, there will always be some apple in its fruit.  So, maybe if we can identify some differences then we can drill down to the root of the problem which really is: black people are judged from the moment we're identified as being black. Crystal used the term on a recent show and gave me the idea for this relationship topic: how can you ignore 'love in your face'?
