Joel Corry (@corryjoel ) is a former sports agent and salary cap xxpert who helped found Premier Sports & Entertainment, a sports management firm representing professional athletes and coaches.  Prior to his tenure at Premier Joel worked for Management Plus Enterprises representing such athletes as Shaquille O’Neal, Hakeem Olajuwon and Ronnie Lott. He’s also a columnist for National Football Post writing about NFL salary cap and contract issues.  JetNation had an opportunity to ask Joel some questions regarding the New York Jets current financial situation as well as get his input on the teams search for a new general manager. Courtney Aurillo is alone on an abbreviated Podcast this week.  The Jets travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks but so many Jets fans are still trying to recover from Hurricane Sandy. Football definitely took a back seat after the events of last week. Antonio Cromartie is staying positive, Rex Ryan is positive and Courtney is always positive.  We will find out if that positive energy will help the Jets on Sunday.

What do the Jets stand for? Most nights we don’t know anymore.  They were going to be a ground and pound team and now they are searching for an identity.  This week Courtney and Phil look into the Jets struggles, talk about the injuries and look ahead to Sunday and the Dennis Byrd ring of honor ceremony.

Last week against the Colts the Jets were finally better, faster and stronger.  Will that trend continue against the New England Patriots on Sunday?  Courtney Aurillo and Phil Sullivan discuss the win over the Colts, the upcoming game against the Patriots and take a look at the injuries for both teams, which are significant.

You can hate the Jets now.  But they won’t stop now.  They can’t stop now.  We will soon find out what this team is all about as they approach a stretch of games that seem easier (on paper anyway).  Courtney Aurillo and Phil Sullivan take a look at where the Jets stand, the injuries and whether or not Woody Johnson knows, that we know, he is bald.
