I have an hour ahead that you may find to be just a little different than the usual in The Roadhouse. Aside from a few upbeat tracks, I've also got quite a bit more mid-tempo and acoustic blues than usual. Fruteland Jackson, Jontavious Willis, Colin Linden & Luther Dickinson, Seth Walker, and William Clarke send us off in a slightly different direction than we normally take. One thing is definitely the same, though - it's another hour of the finest blues you've never heard - the 746th Roadhouse.

It's all new music in this hour of The Roadhouse. Only two tracks are as old as 2018, three are from upcoming releases, and three more are making Roadhouse debuts. Big Joe & The Dynaflows, Mindi Abair & The Boneshakers, Bobby Rush, The Tesky Brothers, and Robert Nighthawk & The Wampus Cats make for an hour of the freshest blues you'll hear anywhere. And they definitely make for another hour of the finest blues you've never heard - the 745th Roadhouse.

In the next hour of The Roadhouse, we pay tribute to the late Dr. John with several tracks spanning his career. I do have some other new music around those tracks, as well. Peter Frampton Band, Duke Robillard, Keb' Mo', Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, and Southern Avenue all contribute to the cause. We're looking to the current and future state of the blues and remembering Dr. John. That makes for great promise, as always, to be another hour of the finest blues you've never heard - the 744th Roadhouse.

I'm keeping with the string of upbeat Roadhouse shows and I have to say - if there was ever a prototypical hour, this is the one. Mary Lane, Kenny "Beedyeyes" Smith, Shemekia Copeland, Peter Frampton Band, and Reese Wynans fill the bandstand under the little yellow spotlight. It's another hour of great new blues that will keep you moving, and it's certainly another hour of the finest blues you've never heard - the 739th Roadhouse.
