Summary: Both this week's Modcast and VÅR (formerly War) are the work of two guys with thumbs in a lot of pies. Elias Bender Rønnenfelt is part of indie rebels Iceage as well as Marching Church and Pagan Youth. Loke Rahbek is the singer for Sexdrome, solo artist LR, records with Skurv and Damien Dubrovnik and co-runs Danish label Posh Isolation. Their first album under the new moniker is slated for a 2013 release on Sacred Bones. Mayan calendar be damned. Think dark synths, Robert-Smith-itude and Danish lo-fi gold thrown together and you have VÅR.
