She’s also the Founder of the <a href="https://www.financialrecovery.com" target="_blank">Financial Recovery Institute</a>.<br> Her career in personal finance started in 1988 when she desperately knew she needed a money coach and couldn’t find one. She is definitely one of the pioneers, in America, in the work of personal finance for women, and personal finance from a more holistic perspective. Definitely a pioneer.<br> Based on her decades of experience with women and couples, Karen has developed her own money management software, <a href="https://moneygrit.com" target="_blank">Money Grit</a>, so that we can be grounded in the numbers at the same time as we explore the emotional side of money. I have yet to see another software like it in the market. Karen and I talk about the financial struggles that led her to build a career in the personal finance space, the emotional side of money, Money Grit and much more.
