However, when crossing borders these physical devices can sometimes be spotted by USA border agents and TSA (note they are like small flash drives). Carrying these have not been a problem until now. However it’s been recently reported that certain unlucky Americans are starting to be quizzed by border agents for said hardware wallet passwords. Then they will make you initialize it to see your USD balance right then and there. It’s all about that $10000 travel cash reporting limit imposed by various countries like the USA.
