Summary: In this episode, I cover the defeat of the Persians by the Macedonians, led by Alexander the Great. At the time, Persia was ruled by Darius the 3rd. The Persians and the Greeks would fight several great battles. I cover several of these, including the Battle at Gaza, which would give the Greeks control of Egypt. Alexander would journey to the African nation, initiate the building of Alexandria, the return to defeat Darius and take control of the whole Persian Empire.
