New Diet Every Monday Syndrome [Podcast #042]

The JoLynn Braley Show | End the Binge with JoLynn show

Summary:

Have you ever heard of New Diet Every Monday Syndrome? Wow, I had a lot of experience with it! And I'm glad to say that that's in my past. But what about you?

Exactly how many weeks out of the year do you start a new diet every Monday?

How much pressure do you feel each Sunday night to get going again on Monday morning?

And then, if you're able to get yourself to start again on Monday, do you have the same struggle that millions have right now of sticking with it for more than 3 days?

Hey, I understand, like I said up above I've definitely been there before. And then it turns into "Well, it's Wednesday, I already blew it, I'll just wait to start again next Monday...."

How common is it that you falter and then tell yourself, "The weekend is right around the corner so I'll just start again on Monday"....

GOOD NEWS: You don't have to stay in this weekly pattern with the pressure and the failure to stick with it. It's exhausting, isn't it? Not to mention the back and forth struggle, stress, and strain of yo-yo dieting, diet obsession, and overall frustration with not keeping your word to yourself.

All of this can be changed once you get the right mindset in place. THAT is what you need to end this pattern for good.

What would it feel like if you could live in peace with food and with your weight? AND be in the body you'd love to live in?

Disclaimer: these results do not come from continuing to eat the same way you are now, changes must be made. But what makes it struggle-free to make those changes is getting a weight loss mindset. I hope you're done with those crazy diet claims that tell you you'll never have to change your lifestyle to lose weight, because you DO need to make changes in order to get different results.

But you can live in peace with food and your weight once you heal the root of WHY you ever became overweight in the first place. After all, you were not born a compulsive overeating, yo-yo dieter, and food addict. You knew exactly how to eat and when to eat when you were a baby. You never wanted food if you weren't physically hungry. You knew that that was not a fit for your body!

New Diet Every Monday Syndrome

In this episode of The JoLynn Braley Show we'll look at New Diet Every Monday Syndrome.
WARNING: This is Get REAL episode #10 of The JoLynn Braley Show.
Do not listen to this episode if you are looking for reasons to be offended, if you prefer to stay in your comfort zone, or wish to blame other people for your results. But do know that you'll eventually need to Get Real with Yourself in order to achieve permanent success with your weight.

Getting real with yourself is not about beating yourself up. It's about holding yourself accountable and being completely, 100%, brutally honest with yourself about exactly what you are doing to sabotage your weight loss, so that you can make a new decision and take new action and get the results you deeply desire.

Make sense?

At the beginning of the 2013 when I launched this free weight loss podcast I said that I would do at least one Get Real episode each month, and that's what I've done. The purpose of a Get Real episode is to help you...Get REAL! To Get Real about where you are right now, with the Results you are living in your life, and what you need to do to get different results.

If you stay in denial and paste a happy face on your struggles, the struggles don't go away.
