The JoLynn Braley Show | End the Binge with JoLynn show

Summary: The bottomless pit of emotional eating is pretty darned easy to fall into when you've been struggling a lifetime with overeating, emotional eating, overweight and the endless frustration that comes with this very big problem.

The thing is, no amount of food can fill up that bottomless pit. I understand how that feels because I've been there before too! Eating and eating and eating while there's never an end, there's never enough.

There's never enough to fill up what cannot be filled with food. The more you eat for comfort to try to fill the emptiness the more you become aware of how tight your pants are getting! But still that bottomless pit cannot be filled no matter how much you eat.

Have you ever noticed this yourself?
The Bottomless Pit of Emotional Eating
When you're stuck in a pattern of years of emotional eating, using food to try to deal with anything uncomfortable in life, then it's a natural step to keep attempting to fill the bottomless pit which can never be filled with food.

Food is not the panacea for salving the wounds of your life experiences.

Food is only fuel for the most important vehicle you have access to here on this Earth: Your body.

Your body does NOT need fuel unless your stomach is physically hungry. Physical hunger is not the same as emotional hunger.

Just imagine if you could really do it. I mean really do this: eat only when physically hungry, stop when physically full (not stuffed!) and allow your body to drop the fat over time. Bottom-line: your body does not need any fuel unless your stomach is physically hungry.

The problem with this is that emotional eating is not motivated by physical hunger. They way to solve this problem is by healing your Inner Self. Heal your Inner Self to heal the root of what drives your emotional eating. Then you'll stop trying to fill that bottomless pit with food!

Changing your eating habits is easy, unless you make it hard.
