Summary: We interviewed David Radulovich tonight on the podcast. David is one of the best sporting clays and FITASC shooters in the country. We discuss the wet and rainy Northeast Regionals and the upcoming events in the near future.About David Radulovich:David grew up shooting a huge assortment of guns in his backyard ever since he was a young boy.“I never had any target practice or actual formal instruction with anything though, just basically shooting black powder guns at as many trees as I could find. Shortly after that, my father gave me my first bow. He was an avid outdoorsman his whole life and was slowly introducing his hobbies to me. I would travel with him to 3D archery tournaments as often as I could, I eventually got pretty good at it and learned to enjoy it a whole lot.“Shortly after, my whole family went to Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania. I was 8 years old at the time and was too young (or too small) to rent skis, which is what we were originally planning on doing, so my father decided to take a trip to The Shooting Academy. Bringing along his old 12ga Remington 870 pump, the four of us (both my parents, sister, and I) took to the course. After I had pestered my dad for about 2 hours asking him if I could try, he eventually let me. I hit 8/10 targets on a station where there was a trap target under my feet and an incoming teal. Since then I was hooked.“We found out that the Ohio State Championship was going to be taking place a few minutes from my house at Hill 'n Dale Club in about 3 months. My father took it upon himself to buy me a youth model 20ga Beretta 391 and registered me to shoot. I placed 2nd in my age group (14 and under) at age 8 and fell in love with the sport. Since then, shooting developed into my hobby, and then my sport, and then my passion, and then my life. Although I had tremendous success with it from the very start, it has never been the winning that kept me shooting.
