 #7 - Richard Faulds | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 39:09

Richard Bruce Faulds MBE (born 16 March 1977 in Guildford, Surrey), is an English sport shooter, who competed for Great Britain in the 2000 Summer Olympics and won the men’s double trap. Born into a family who then ran a stud farm in Sussex, Faulds was then raised on the 300-acre (1.2 km) family owned Owl’s Lodge Farm in the Hampshire village of Longparish. On his tenth birthday, Faulds father Bruce bought him some shooting lessons, with Richard hitting 17 out of 25 clays in his first attempt. His father built him a range on the family farm, but just before finishing third in his first world junior championship, his PE teacher said that his hand–eye co-ordination was very poor. It was discovered that Faulds suffered from a weak left eye, which was corrected by special dot-to-dot exercises with such good effect that he now shoots left-handed. Faulds competed internationally for Britain at the age of 13, and was a world junior champion when he was 16. Three years later, Faulds competed in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics finishing fifth, and became the 1997 European champion. After working at the West London Gun Club for three years as an instructor, Faulds became a full-time shooter, and qualified for the 2000 Sydney games after shooting a then double trap world record score at a World Cup meeting held again in Atlanta, Georgia. Faulds shot a then Olympic record total of 143 in the preliminary round, and won his Olympic gold medal after a shoot-off at the Sydney International Shooting Centre, to become Britain’s first shooting gold medal-winner since Malcolm Cooper in 1988.Bio via Caesar GueriniOlympic Champion Double Trap

 #6 - Will Hinton | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:34:00

Will has been a Georgia native all his life, and always lived in the community of Dacula, GA. Ever since he was a child, being outside was something he thoroughly enjoyed. He was fascinated with the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. During his time as an early teen, Will became more interested in competitive shooting. He decided to pursue this with joining the scholastic clay target program (SCTP), and fell in love with shooting clay targets. As shooting progressed throughout his time in Dacula Middle School, Will eventually found something he could become above average at. Baseball and Football were always apart of Hinton’s extracurricular activities until shooting came along.During the year of 2009/10 Will decided to take the next step and join the National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA). Through his time moving up in the sport; Will won multiple sub jr. championships. In the year 2010 Will won the Sub jr. Nationals in San Antonio. This gave Will the drive to compete, and eventually Will became known for his shooting ability. The following year he fulfilled his goal of winning it again. Hinton decided to branch out to other disciplines as he progressed, and tried competitive skeet, trap, fitasc, and international disciplines. In 2011 Will tested his abilities in multiple fields, winning the 2011 Georgia state skeet Championships, NSCA Alabama state Championships, and Bronze medal in double trap at the National Junior Olympics in Colorado Springs, CO.2012/2013 brought about a new year for Will as he started to focus on international disciplines while maintaining his status in Sporting clays. 2012 was when Will won his first world medal (Jr. Silver) at the World Fitasc in Chicago. But that was just the start -- Will won the National Junior Olympics for Bunker Trap. This win led to becoming a member of the Jr. National Bunker Trap team, and currently where Will is. The 2013 season Will primarily focused on international disciplines and traveled to Italy and Germany where he was a finalist for his shooting division.Keeping his sporting roots true, Will Shot the Georgia State Sporting Clays championships where he received (high overall) HOA. At this current time Will is a Master class sporting shooter, AAA class skeet shooter, 5X NSCA All-American, and a member of the Jr. National Bunker Trap team. Shooting has always been something Will was heavily dedicated to, aside from school. Will has maintained a 3.7 GPA during his time at Dacula High School. Hinton choose to do the Accel program in the state of Georgia and go on to college vs. a senior year of high school. Recent Posts:

 #5 - Cory Kruse | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:15:24

We had Chad Rodgers in the studio tonight talking about The Meadows Gun Club and some of their upcoming events and we also had Cory Kruse on the phone with us.  Cory is a 2 time National Champion and the 2018 US Open Champion.  We discuss Ammo, Shotguns, the mental game and a lot more.About Cory Kruse:My childhood, like many of you, was not easy. Shooting was a luxury and if I wanted to be able to shoot the next tournament, I had no choice but to win the current one I was shooting to pay for the next entry fee. Times were tough, but it taught me many life lessons.Just like any red neck kid, I feel like I was born with a firearm in my hand. Plinking away with my Red Ryder BB gun, I soon fell in love with shotgun shooting. I found it was more fun to shoot moving targets rather than stationary targets. My dad, David Reaves, introduced me to clay shooting when I was 11 years old, and from there he felt that I needed to be proficient in trap & skeet first, before he let me on a sporting clay course. I am thankful he taught me, at such a young age, to work hard for what I want. He always said, “you don’t belong on a sporting clays course until you can shoot 100 straight trap & skeet targets”. I believe his motive, was to see how hard I would actually work at shooting and if I was willing to put in the time and effort it took to compete in sporting clays. Once he saw the competitive drive and passion I exuded, he put me under the wing of legendary Dan Carlisle.  From there, Dan established the mechanics and fundamentals of shooting that were necessary to be on the road to success. A few additional influences that have impacted my life and shooting career are Anthony Matarese Jr., Craig Hill, Ed Arrighi and Brad Kidd Jr. I am forever grateful for them, along with everyone else that helped and believed in me a long the way. I never could have imagined shooting would take me to the places in life where it has. Not only is it a great sport, it has led me to numerous opportunities providing some of the best sponsors, loyal friends, love of my life, Catherine ‘Arrighi” Kruse, the sweetest baby girl, Claire Elizabeth Kruse and a dream job with C&G Boats! I couldn’t be more thankful God had this life cut out for me. I know He has used the shooting network to bring me all these amazing blessings.Cory Kruse Accomplishments:* 2003 World FITASC Junior Champion* 2006 World Cup FITASC 3rd* 2008 World Sporting RU* 2-Time National Champion* US Grand Prix HOA* 2014 US Open 5-Stand Champion* 2014 PSCA Tour-2 Champion* 2014 PSCA Champion of Champion’s HOA* 2014 North American FTIASC World Champion* 2015 Browning Briley Champion* 4-Time Texas State Champion* 2018 Texas State Champion* 2018 US Open ChampionVisit Kruse Shooting Recent Posts:

 #4 - Chad Roberts | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:12:15

The great folks from Cross Creek Clays discuss their upcoming Night Stalker Shoot and Chad Roberts From California talks about his NSCA career along with his views on the PSCA.About Chad Roberts:In 1991 Chad had $400 in his pocket, his truck and his BMX bike when he made his move to Southern California to follow his dream to race BMX as a Pro. Although being a Pro was the ultimate goal he first set out to make his mark as an Amateur…. 13 years later and after winning State, National and 5 Amateur World Titles, he got his chance to turn pro and fulfill a lifelong dream. His pro career stretched over the next 4 years, where he stayed highly competitive and got to travel all over the world. He even dabbled in mountain bike racing, resulting in a couple of national titles. In 2006, one year before he decided to walk away from the world of competitive BMX, he had his first taste of sporting clays during a bicycle race in West Virginia. Although he grew up on a ranch and had shot guns before, he had not experienced this type of shooting before and was HOOKED. Coming home to California he really didn’t think sporting clays would be very popular. He soon realized that sporting clays was alive and extremely popular in Southern California. He picked his first shotgun up on January 1, 2007, and has been at it ever since. He retired from competitive BMX in 2007 but occasionally still rides, whether it is on the BMX, Road or Mountain Bike. He even surfs a few times a week…Shooting clays grew in him at a feverish rate. He started competing in March of 2007 and by August 2009 he had reached Master Class status. During that time, he also achieved his NSCA Level 1 Certification and began teaching at his local range, Triple B Clays in El Monte, California where he still to this day continues to teach there on weekends and any other free time he has.He also started his own shooting instruction company called Breakpoint Shooting Instruction. Many ask, why the name? His answer: “Breakpoint is where you see the target the best and that is where you shoot it.” Simple enough. He was under the tutelage of top shooter Anthony Materese Jr. Since the beginning, he always maintains that you should get a good coach from the start. Anthony is one of the best. In 2014, while Anthony went after his own goal of making the Olympic Team for Olympic Trap, Chad went out and spent the year trying to make the 2015 PSCA tour. With enough points, Chad was invited to the Semi-Final Qualifier held in Tiller, Arkansas at the Delta Resort. There is always going to be “that person” that is right on the bubble of making it and this time it was Chad. He missed the cut by one bird putting him out of contention or a possible PSCA Pro Card for 2015.The PSCA was on his mind coming into the 2015 season. With a new Beretta DT11 and taking a major step outside the box he had been in, he decided it was time to make a change. He was approached at the 2014 National Championships by one of the best shooters and coaches in the business, PSCA Tour Pro, Wendell Cherry. Cherry noticed his drive and willingness to work hard and offered to work with him. Chad knew that, with the landscape always changing in Sporting Clays, this could be the right move. He took the offer and set forth of “rebuilding” his game with Wendell. He also knew that no taught technique could work without a good mental coach. He then approached longtime Mental Coach and good friend Mark Taylor, who has written a few books on the mental game of shooting and also is currently working with many young Olympic hopefuls. He had never worked with a sporting clay shooter before. Lastly, he has his wonderfully supportive girlfriend Jennifer, who loves to watch him shoot and keeps him looking flashy so you won’t forget him, as his self-proclaimed manager. The combination was looking like a perfect path to success. For the next 6 months, goals were built, events were entered and targets were shot,

 #3 - Desirae Edmunds | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 47:03

Desi Edmunds joined Justin Barker, Alex Clark and Kevin DeMichiel in the studio tonight talking about her shooting career, shooting tactics and guns.About Desirae Edmunds:Desi began shooting at the age of 14 in Anchorage, Alaska through the local Fish & Game program. A good friend had mentioned to her that she wanted to try a weekly 5-stand league to learn how to shoot a shotgun, and that is where Desi got hooked. Over the next several years, with her parents' support, she began to shoot more leagues and weekend tournaments at her home club Grouse Ridge in Wasilla, Alaska. Grouse Ridge's owner Harry Brunnhoelzl Sr. took her under his wing and gave Desi her first shooting lessons. She shot her first Nationals in 2004 and first US Open in 2005. These were the beginnings of many more years of travel for sporting tournaments. When she graduated high school in 2008 she decided to move to California where she worked at Triple B Clays and began her college career at Golden West Community College. Four years later, she and her boyfriend Zach Kienbaum decided that a move to Houston, Texas would not only benefit both of them financially but could boost their shooting careers to an all new high. And so it did, since the move to Houston in 2012, she has shot more competitive targets in the last two years than all previous years combined.Desirae Edmunds Accomplishments:* 2014 & 2015 PSCA Tour Ladies Champio* 2014 & 2015 NSCA Championship Tour Lady Champ* 2014 & 2015 US Open Lady Champion* 2014 Lady National Champion* 2015 World English Lady Gold* 5x All-American Ladies* 4x All-American Ladies Captain* 8x Ladies Team USA Recent Posts:

 #2 - David Radulovich | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 47:00

We interviewed David Radulovich tonight on the podcast.  David is one of the best sporting clays and FITASC shooters in the country.  We discuss the wet and rainy Northeast Regionals and the upcoming events in the near future.About David Radulovich:David grew up shooting a huge assortment of guns in his backyard ever since he was a young boy.“I never had any target practice or actual formal instruction with anything though, just basically shooting black powder guns at as many trees as I could find. Shortly after that, my father gave me my first bow. He was an avid outdoorsman his whole life and was slowly introducing his hobbies to me. I would travel with him to 3D archery tournaments as often as I could, I eventually got pretty good at it and learned to enjoy it a whole lot.“Shortly after, my whole family went to Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania. I was 8 years old at the time and was too young (or too small) to rent skis, which is what we were originally planning on doing, so my father decided to take a trip to The Shooting Academy. Bringing along his old 12ga Remington 870 pump, the four of us (both my parents, sister, and I) took to the course. After I had pestered my dad for about 2 hours asking him if I could try, he eventually let me. I hit 8/10 targets on a station where there was a trap target under my feet and an incoming teal. Since then I was hooked.“We found out that the Ohio State Championship was going to be taking place a few minutes from my house at Hill 'n Dale Club in about 3 months. My father took it upon himself to buy me a youth model 20ga Beretta 391 and registered me to shoot. I placed 2nd in my age group (14 and under) at age 8 and fell in love with the sport. Since then, shooting developed into my hobby, and then my sport, and then my passion, and then my life. Although I had tremendous success with it from the very start, it has never been the winning that kept me shooting. It was always my love for the sport, and it still is.”WORLD CUP/WORLD FITASC CHAMPIONSHIP* 2017 – World Champion* 2017 – World Cup Champion* 2012-2014 – World Cup ChampionCONTINENTAL FITASC CHAMPIONSHIP* 2016 – North American Cup Champion* 2013 – North American Cup Champion* 2012 – North American Cup ChampionNATIONAL FITASC CHAMPIONSHIP* 2016 – Champion (181 x 200)* 2014 – Champion (187 x 200)* 2013 – Champion (145 x 150)REGIONAL FITASC CHAMPIONSHIP* 2016 US Open – Champion (97 x 100)* 2015 SC Regional – Champion (94 x 100)* 2015 NE Regional – Champion (98 x 100) Recent Posts:
