Summary: Joe Casey, Greg Ahee, Scott Davidson, and Alex Leonard are Protomartyr—the Detroit post-punk band. Their third and arguably best album, The Agent Intellect, is out now on Hardly Art Records. For the first installment of “This is How We Do It,” Davidson invited us to his house—which is also their practice space, in Ferndale, Michigan—to discuss their new album and how their writing and recording process has changed since the release of their early singles and debut album No Passion, All Technique.
