Summary: This weekend Team USA will be in London racing the next round of ITU World Championship triathlon series.

The race venue in London will be the very same one that will host the Olympic Triathlon in 2012. 

To make the race even more important to American Olympic Distance Triathletes the race will also serve as the first qualifying race for the 2012 London Olympics for the U.S Olympic Team.

The last two weeks the American Triathletes have help a mini triathlon camp in London in preparation for this weekend’s race.

Recently Roman Mica had a chance to chat with Rob Urbach, (USA Triathlon’s new CEO) about the upcoming London race, the  American pro’s who’ll not only be gunning for a win, but also for a spot on the Olympic team. The two chat about the upcoming race as well as the state of triathlon in the United States.
