Summary: I grew up on rap music in the 80's. I watched it go from conscious to braggadocious to bass to gangsta to club to bling to whatever you wish to call it now. I still enjoy rap, but not even remotely close as I did 25 years ago when Big Daddy Kane, Rakim MC Lyte and others were doing their thing.
