Biblical Manliness 022: “Manly Marks: Goodness”

Biblical Manliness with Chris Clevenger show

Summary:     Episode #022 Recorded Monday, June 3, 2013 "Manly Marks: Goodness" HOST: Chris Clevenger       Show Notes: By inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the apostle Paul provides nine qualities that we refer to as "the Fruits of the Spirit." (Galatians 5:22-23) These characteristics are the outgrowth of the Word of God, the seed of the Kingdom (Luke 8:11), when it is planted in our hearts. The fifth manly mark is "goodness." Goodness is "moral uprightness." God is the ultimate standard of Morality. (Luke 18:19; Psa. 25:8; Nah. 1:7; Matt. 19:17) True goodness possesses a zeal for truth which rebukes, corrects, and chastizes. We must measure our standard of goodness and morality against God's standard, the Bible. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. - Edmund Burke Your Feedback Submit your feedback or suggest future topics via email (manliness@thelightnetwork.tv) or voicemail: 903-26-LIGHT (903-265-4448) If you enjoyed the show, please rate it on iTunes and write a brief review.
