Summary: The waterfront along the Port of San Diego's North Embarcadero is changing. Construction of a 105-foot wide public promenade is getting underway, now that traffic lanes have been moved to the east, as part of the North Embarcadero Visionary Plan. The Port hosted a public event to mark the milestone in Phase 1 of the construction project. "NEVP" will also contain public gardens, shade pavilions, new landscaping and other amenities. Phase 1 is due to be completed in the summer of 2014.
