Summary: Episode #019 Recorded Monday, May 13, 2013 "Manly Marks: Peace" HOST: Chris Clevenger Watch the video of this episode: Show Notes: By inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the apostle Paul provides nine qualities that we refer to as "the Fruits of the Spirit." (Galatians 5:22-23) These characteristics are the outgrowth of the Word of God, the seed of the Kingdom (Luke 8:11), when it is planted in our hearts. The third "Manly Mark" revealed in the Fruits of the Spirit is peace. The world defines peace as the absence of conflict. To the Christian, supreme peace can be enjoyed even in the midst of trials. (Philippians 4:6-7) One of the words translated peace in the New Testament carries with it the idea of being joined. Consequently, peace is found in the individual when he is joined in mind. Peace is found between God and man when man aligns his will with God's will. Peace is found in the church when the body possesses one mind.
