EVOLVING LANDSCAPE OF THE COMMERCIAL MUSIC SPACEIndian drummer, educator and composer, Darshan Doshi, is currently touring with Salim-Sulaiman, Farhan Akhtar, Adnan Sami, Diljit Dosanjh and Amit Trivedi. THE ART OF MUSICAL STORYTELLINGA musician-storyteller, Raman has travelled to 12 countries telling tales and playing music. He is a former member of the indie-folk band Kabir Café and the co-composer of songs from the movies ‘Baadshaho’ and ‘Hindi Medium’ (2017), and the web series ‘Scam 1992’ (2020). Raman has been playing the mandolin since the age of 12, and has hosted an audio-only podcast called Midnight Musings & The Mandolin on Instagram LIVE since last year. Aanchal Malhotra is an oral historian and writer based in New Delhi, India. She is Co-founder of the Museum of Material Memory - a crowd-sourced digital repository tracing family histories and social ethnography through heirlooms, collectables and antiques from the Indian subcontinent. Malhotra writes extensively on the 1947 Partition and its related topics. In this podcast, she talks about the emotion that objects carry in the context of oral and shared histories, partition as a ‘process’ and the prolonged impact it has had on so many lives.
