When a mummy podcast loves a daddy podcast very much they have a special hug and create a baby podcast....and that is how the ManNic was born! To mark the anniversary of The ManNic Podcast's birthday here is the first of two special origin episodes. Has it been two weeks already? This week the boys chow down on some sugary treats as well as tackling a whole heap of topics, including Batman, Titans, The Walking Dead, American Horror Story & The Circle! Casting Couch returns for another bout of casting shenanigans and this week it's the turn of Cyclops/Scott Summers....Who will we choose to take on the role of our laser eyed leader. This week we also pit two geek legends against each other in a hypothetical fight to the death in Character Battle. Who will be picked from the hat and who will emerge victorious? History has shown us that sequels aren’t usually as good as their predecessors and usually dip in quality and substance, but now we’re here to break that pattern! Like any good second season The ManNic Podcast Season Two is shaking things up this time round. Instead of choosing one single subject for each episode e.g. Star Trek, The MCEU or the many failures of DC. This time round we are going to be more relaxed and slightly less structured. We will still be doing special edition episodes around special events such as Christmas or Halloween. But hopefully this way we will have more freedom to be our ”wonderful and not at all strange” selves while still being able to cover a whole array of topics. As well as having shiny new channel art we have also introduced some new segments to hopefully give some structure to what could potentially be a fairly manic season. The first of our new segments is The Character Battles each week we will pull two random characters from a hat and discuss who would win in a fight to the death!! In the second new segment we look ahead to the eventual introduction of The X-Men to the MCU and attempt to cast a member of the team each week, This week we’re starting with Charles Xavier.
