Fernando Valenzuela's number 34 will be the 12th number retired by the Dodgers, but he'll be only the fifth "bandit-less" retired number. A "Retired Number Bandit" is a term Jeff came up with to describe someone who wore a retired number before it was retired but after the person for whom it was retired wore it.
