He had multiple strokes, with major bleeding and a clot. Due to the cause of the stroke being from him, going into AFIB and the clot not being operable; we have a long challenging journey ahead. Jose is a husband, and father of 6 amazing kids. He is loved by his family and community. He makes friends wherever he goes. He always extends a helping hand in his professional and personal life. He is an amazing man and deserves amazing care. As we don’t know what the Lord has in store for Jose, we can only support him, emotionally, spiritually, and financially, to make sure he receives the best care through this journey. Please consider helping our family through these challenging times. Jose spent 3 weeks in icu at eastside piedmont in Snellville. We unfortunately had to transfer him to a LTACH in Athens. Not our first choice by far.. In order to see Jose, to ensure he is receiving proper care and provide additional support to Jose, we must travel over an hour each way. We do this 6 days a week. The conditions of the hospital are not ideal and I hope he progresses quickly to move to the stage so he can get out of there. While Jose, has great health insurance, we now have cover 100% of the premium on 50% of his Salary. We appreciate the support and can’t thank everyone enough. Williams Branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library and City of Snellville Business Center. In partnership with City of Snellville, GA - City Hall and the Gwinnett County Public Library, the new 44,000-square-foot facility is part of The Grove at Town Center development in Snellville. The two-story building houses the library on the first floor, while the city of Snellville will use the second floor as a business center. Features of the new library include adult, teen, and children’s areas, 30 computer workstations, and a multipurpose room. The County’s $10.2 million contribution to the project was funded by SPLOST.

The board will decide if it wants to raise interest rates for the 12th time since March 2022 to stem inflation.With so many rate hikes, skyrocketing prices on goods and services and an inflation rate that still hovers above the Fed’s 2% target, one may wonder if raising interest rates really works.

There are approximately 40 available positions for 2024 across all boards. Gwinnett County will distribute up to $18 million to support and expand affordable housing development across the county. The distribution is a part of the county’s Affordable Housing Development Fund, which offers funding to support the development of affordable housing for households earning 65 percent or less of Area Median Income. The fund aims to address the impacts the COVID-19 pandemic had on housing. Eligible projects to receive the funds include land/building acquisition, new construction, rehabilitation of one or more existing buildings, preservation of existing affordable housing units, and adaptive reuse of one or more nonresidential buildings, according to a press release from the county. “Housing is a human right, and everyone deserves a safe, stable, and affordable place to live,” Gwinnett County Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson, said. “I’m proud of the work we’ve done using federal funding since 2020 to keep people stably housed during the pandemic, and I’m grateful for this opportunity to use these dollars to further address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and support the growth of our local economy.”
