Learning happens best through hands-on experiences and one of the best ways to nurture our family’s faith is through God’s creation! Today Eryn Lynum and I talk about how the Bible and nature are connected, how spending time outdoors can strengthen the faith of our families, how experiences in nature can show our kids absolute truths in a society prone to relativism,  and more!  Even if your family isn’t “outdoorsy”(Eryn wasn’t either) you’ll find some great tips and truths in today’s episode!  Jesus Return: Revelation, Mark of the Beast, and the Antichrist (Podcast 409) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:05:26

The study of the end times can be confusing and overwhelming, but Wes and I have attempted to share some nuts and bolts on this topic. Last week we shared an episode titled Are We Living in the Last Days? On Monday we shared another called: Living with Hope When the Church Says It’s Only Going to Get Worse. Our intention in doing these episodes was to present another biblical perspective on the end times that many have not heard about because we have never been taught anything different.  To clarify, there are 3 basic views on end times: Premillennialism (which is what almost all of us have been taught exclusively or simply watched the "Left Behind" series) Amillennialism, and Postmillennialism. Prior to about 100 years ago all three views were known to and held by the church and her theologians. I think that is worth noting. This means that throughout all of church history, believers were knowledgeable about all three perspectives. Only in the last 100 years has Premillennialism been so widely embraced. I don’t know about you, but that alone gives me a reason to pause.  Today we are answering questions that arose from our previous discussions by sharing the Postmillennialism perspective on Revelation, the Mark of the Beast, and the Anti-Christ. This will wrap up this three-part series on this topic.  Living with Hope When the Church Says Things Will Only Get Worse (Podcast 408) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 43:01

I've always struggled with the idea that we are living in the last days. I couldn't really put my finger on why because although I had heard several sermons on the end times, none of it really ever made a lot of sense to me. It all seemed complicated and over my head. However, over the last few years, I have explored this area more deeply and found hope that I never expected.  (Please note that I do NOT believe this is a salvation issue. Wherever you land on this topic doesn't change your eternity. I will say though that where you stand on it may very well affect your daily life more than you think) Today Wes joins me to take what we talked about in the last episode a step further to answer how and why this perspective affects our daily lives as wives and moms.  Are We Living in the Last Days? (Podcast 407) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 48:42

I've always struggled with the idea that we are living in the last days. I couldn't really put my finger on why because although I had heard several sermons on the end times, none of it really ever made a lot of sense to me. It all seemed complicated, over my head, and quite frankly, pessimistic.  However, over the last few years, I have explored this area more deeply and found hope that I never expected.  (Please note that I do NOT believe this is a salvation issue. Wherever you land on this topic doesn't change your eternity. I will say though that where you stand on it may very well affect your daily life more than you think) Today Wes joins me to answer the question, "Are We Living in The Last Days?"  When Your Teen is Doubting the Existence of God (Podcast 406) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 20:36

Although homeschooling our kids gives us many more opportunities to disciple our children, it does not guarantee that they will embrace our faith. Often our teens will ask questions or make statements that can invoke fear and cause us to react, but as you'll hear in this episode, questions are actually a GOOD sign. I had a mom reach out to me recently who was concerned that her teen was expressing doubt about the existence of God. She asked for some advice on how to handle this situation and for any book recommendations.  The Dangers of School ”Choice” (Podcast 403).mp3 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 34:05

With so many new families homeschooling, I thought it would be wise to address the topic of school "choice". What I mean by that is we hear a lot of talk about the government wanting to offer us what they label school “choice”. At first glance this seems enticing, however, there are some very clear and present dangers that come with this offer. Listen in as Israel Wayne presents a very strong argument against school “choice”.  Resources mentioned in this episode: https://www.ctcmath.com/ The Unhurried Homeschooler Unhurried Grace for a Mom’s Heart The Four-Hour School Day The Unhurried Homeschooler Mentoring Course Homeschooling Today Ways to connect with Israel at Family Renewal: Family Renewal Family Renewal Podcast: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNfS-DUuKHPQHpBadmIe-xA Raising Them Up Facebook Page   (P.S.
