The PoPo Report
Summary: The POPO REPORT is a local weekly program hosted by a well known and respected Private Investigator, Paul Ciolino and Lupe Aguirre, a police officer and private attorney. The show covers the crime and the subsequent legal action attributable to the crimes committed in the Chicago area. The Show dives into the criminal element and the CPD who in seconds have to react to any situation or person. Chicago has historically been a hotbed of criminal activity; from Al Capone to John Wayne Gacy to numerous Governors. Every day there is a crime committed that creates controversy between the public and the police, the judicial system and the community, and in each case the citizens of Chicago create a personal attachment and opinion. Like the weather, crime in Chicago is a water-cooler topic and if you try to avoid it, it’s everywhere else from TV to Print to Social Media and Text that pop up on a minute by minute basis. From Cops to Live PD, from 48 Hours to Joe Kenda; the TV is filled with Channels and Programs dedicated to crime and criminal activity. Yet, there is nothing on the radio that covers this popular topic. Talk Radio is based on unique content which is current, local and relevant. The POPO REPORT is all of this and more. The show covers every demographic, every area, every ethnicity and every economic group. It’s the show for everyone.

The first hour highlights include gun seizures in Chicago, Fernando Gomez crying in court, dogs flying, road rage at Meijer, and an Indiana man mistaking an undercover cop for a porch pirate, and an elderly couple caught smuggling drugs. The second hour includes the wrongful conviction corner dealing with junk science, and the PoPo year-end-review detailing our favorite stories covered throughout the show's duration.
This week (12/22/18) on the PoPo report, Paul and Lupe have their last show before Christmas, while they highlight the biggest crime stories in Chicago & beyond. The first hour includes the story of two CPD officers who tragically passed, Eddie Burke being raided with a search warrant in hand, and crime on the blue line. The second hour includes the nurse settlement in Kane County, porch pirates, marijuana being used as currency at McDonald's, and serial deer poachers in Missouri.
This week (12/15/18) on the PoPo report, Paul and Lupe are singing the praises of our Chicago Bears. They discuss whether it is ethical for the team to have police escorts to Soldier Field. The guys go into the heroics of officer Chris Harris of the Waukegan police department, reoccurring PoPo report subject from Chicago Heights is back in the news, and a detective from Evanston is under investigation from the feds.
