The last week of the 2021 Session has arrived. All three biennial budgets continue to be negotiated behind the scenes, with potential problems for the Capital and Transportation Budgets. Stabilization bills continue to move as well.
The last cut-off date has passed and the Legislature moves into its final phase. The focus is on resolving differences in bills between the houses--and finalizing budgets. Time is short, but your advocacy can still have an impact for K-12.
Budget negotiations have begun in earnest--and we need your engagement for a final push. Critical K-12 areas of the budget are unresolved and we need educators to speak up.
Final legislative deadlines are approaching as the end of session is in sight. Budget-writers have released six budgets--and they are all on the move!
Following last week's revenue update, it's "Budget Week" in the Legislature. All six legislative budgets are set to be released this week--setting the stage for final showdowns and the closure of this session.
The cherry blossoms are starting to pop on the Capitol Campus--must be budget time! The Revenue Forecast will be released Wednesday and a Senate budget shouldn't be far behind.
