St. Patrick's Day Week continues as Eddie is joined by two bagpipers from the Stockyard Kilty Band, a bagpipe group that's been around for 97 years. We discuss playing in parades, playing overseas, what it takes to join the band and more.
It's the week of St. Patrick's Day so Eddie is joined by one of the three Irish born Division I College Basketball players in the country - Jordan Blount. Jordan talks about why he loves Chicago, St. Patrick's Day in America, drinking Pepsi during timeouts, and more.
Chief is my guest for this one as we take some time to talk about conspiracy theorists/dive into the people who are somehow convinced that the earth is flat. I didn't know a ton about this before, but Chief broke it down nicely for all the people who have never heard this stupid flat argument like myself.
The University of Illinois came out with a new mascot named Alma-Otter earlier in the week so our resident Illini grad Carl hops on the show to discuss the otter as well as how miserable it's been to be an Illinois sports fan for the last 10 years
Feitelberg, NeedABeef69 (random twitter user), and Whitesoxdave join the show to talk about Mousegate. If you're unfamiliar it's from when Whitesoxdave promised to chain himself to a statue outside of White Sox Park, but then never followed through. Feitelberg then flew into Chicago and did it because Taylor Swift didn't release new music, and then NeedABeef69 is just a random twitter user who we called to weigh in on the whole saga.
Big Cat is back in Chicago so he hops on his favorite podcast to talk about gambling and heartburn
Every year the first Monday in March is marked off as Casimir Pulaski Day in the State of Illinois. As a kid I only recognized it as a day we'd have off in grammar school, so I decided to go to the Polish Museum of America and talk to a Polish Historian about who Casimir Pulaski was and why he's important. We also get a bonus explanation on Paczki day tomorrow.
Chief finally adopted a dog and it's been a little bit harder than he's anticipated. He joins the show to talk about George the Dog and what life has been like in Chief HQ for the past week. (Spoiler Alert: it involves cleaning alot of shit and piss)
Longtime Barstool affiliate Dante Deiana joins the show to talk about his rise in the Chicago DJ/club industry. Dante also speaks about what it's like to be the Cubs DJ, playing at different celebrity events, and more
My friend Danny was diagnosed with leukemia when he turned 16 years-old so I have him hop on the show to talk about what the experience was like. From his reaction to when they told him, what chemo felt like, his Make-A-Wish being on the set of 'The Office' we cover it all and more on today's show.
Eddie & Carl breakdown what it was like to talk to 6 of the 14 candidates that are running for Mayor of Chicago. From Garry McCarthy's low key HQ, to Bill Daley's huge HQ, to almost talking to Willie Wilson at a Boston Market the guys go over how it all went down.
Whitesoxdave stirred up some more controversy last night on Twitter with his take on who the best guitar player ever was. He hops on to half ass his point as well as talk about the Oscars.
A little bit of a bonus episode on this Saturday afternoon. Our sixth Mayoral candidate Paul Vallas joins the show to talk about his time running CPS and how strong he is with budgeting. Eddie and Carl ask him about Blagojevich, working with Daley II, his time at Western Illinois, and more.
After chasing him down all week we finally had the chance to sit down with Dr. Willie Wilson. Willie Wilson has a great story about how Ray Kroc gave him a chance to own a McDonalds which in turn made him a millionaire. We also get into a wide variety of topics like if he believes in dinosaurs, gospel singing, and more
Eddie & Carl are joined by John Kozlar on Day 4 of Mayoral Week. John is the youngest person to ever run for Mayor in the history of Chicago. We talk about his love for the city, his hate for the machine, his great idea about Chicago bridges, and more.
