PipemanRadio Interviews The Guess Who | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1034

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Derek and Gary from The Guess Who. Pipeman tells the story of how he first heard of The Guess Who, through his older brother’s album. He expresses his admiration for musicians that continue to come up with new material that is both good and fresh, and that’s exactly what he sees with their new album. Pipeman asks Derek and Gary to tell us about the new album and what people can expect from it. Derek explains that the new album was a conscious effort, made with the aim of capturing the band’s camaraderie in the recording. He further explains that the band was together for six days in one place, which was a wonderful experience. Gary explains that Derek is responsible for writing and producing the album, and it took him 60 years to get the band together to play this kind of music. He is thrilled to be associated with someone so talented that must be heard by the rest of the world. Derek adds that some of the songs were challenging, and they talked about doing stuff with difficult arrangements, but they just went for it. The band’s passion and love for music and each other come out in their music. Pipeman acknowledges that not all bands are fortunate enough to have such a strong bond after working together for so long. He admires their respect for each other, which comes through in their music. Pipeman concludes by thanking Derek and Gary from The Guess Who for being on his show, saying he is looking forward to hearing more from them in the future.  PipemanRadio Interviews Neolia | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2023

Israeli Prog NEOLIA Challenge Genre Boundaries With The Esoteric “Karma” ft. Ran Yerushalmi Self-Titled Album Out May 5, 2023 Album Mastered by Howie Weinberg (Metallica, Pantera, Nirvana) L-R: Neolia Current Line Up - Tomer Mash (Bass), Yair Ben Shalom (Drums), Ben Reiss (Vocals), Guy Greenberg (Guitar), Inbar Davish (Guitar) Photo Credit – Avi Veldman Photo Edit by: Rana Sneider Prepare to be blown away by the innovative and electrifying debut album from Neolia. This Israeli band has fused together progressive metal, thrash, and even reggae to create a truly unique listening experience that will leave you breathless. The latest single to come off this record is “Karma” which is presented alongside a music video featuring guest vocals from Ran Yerushalmi and guitar from Amit Plaschkes. The track originates from the conclusion that we are all temporary, and so our actions are also temporary, but it also plants seeds and affects our surroundings. This idea further drives the story of the main character Alex, whom we follow through the concept album. The band expands: “The song actually starts from the conclusion, that Alex realizes he had been under the same ego trip as the people he had blamed for his misfortune and mistreatment. This criticism slowly throughout the song becomes self-pity and griff on the self, and instead of channeling these emotions to becoming better for himself and for others, Alex channels it into depression and self-hatred.” The music reflects the duality Alex holds, and builds up from this moment of clarity with an atmospheric reggae feel that drives you gradually into a fast and thrashy instrumental groove that drops at the verse. Although the song maintains its extreme energy while showcasing intensive changes in mood and tempo, it still maintains certain softer moments, the chorus is one of them. Throughout the track, the chorus increases in its energy up until the third and last one. The outro is stripped down into a piano only that uses the melody in a broken way, desperately outlining the need to refuel energy and rest. Although Neolia’s music has its tender parts, it constantly keeps the listener on edge and unsettled.  PipemanRadio Interviews AxMinister About Napoleon and More | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 939

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to AxMinister, a band that has a unique style of music. They create music that has a story and a foundation. Nicholas Klaus, the bassist, vocalist and accordion player for the band, joins Pipeman on the show. Nicholas talks about how he had to learn the accordion for their latest album, and he did it without any prior lessons. He played the accordion for the first time in the recording studio and it was featured in their song, "Napoleon". Nicholas Klaus reveals that he does not require many takes for his recordings. He usually does his takes once or twice and only punches in when he is feeling off. Nicholas is proud of his nickname, 'One Shot Klaus'. The band's obsession with Napoleon Bonaparte is also discussed in the show. The drummer of the band suggested writing a song about Napoleon, and the band ended up creating a 17-minute song that covers Napoleon's life from his birth to when he took control of the French army. The band plans to create three more songs about Napoleon, each one longer and more epic than the last. The conversation also touches on the topic of bilingualism in Canada. Nicholas Klaus talks about how Canada is a bilingual nation, and he only knows about 10 French words, despite the Canadian system's attempts to teach him French. Pipeman mentions his trip to Montreal, where he discovered that the French spoken there was better than the French spoken in France. Nicholas Klaus talks about the rejection of Michael Ignatia, a candidate for Prime Minister who spoke with a Parisian French accent, by the people of Quebec, who preferred their low-brow French. The best way you can connect with the band is by going to axminister.ca for all of the latest information. You can stream the music on the major streaming platforms and follow them on all major social media channels, most of all MySpace! Live, AxMinister really wields their weapons of choice to great effect. “We put on a show, as we play medieval characters on stage. Sometimes we make a human sacrifice as our guitarist solos, other times we chant and pour blood on ourselves. We try to be theatrical and our stage show is constantly evolving.” “vir fortis” is due out May 11, 2023 and available for pre-order on Bandcamp. The Age of Napoleon…The Rise, is act one of a 3 part saga, inspired by the rise and fall of the French Emperor, Napoleon Bonaparte. It is just over 17 minutes long, starts at his birth in Corsica, and ends with the French revolution, and young Napoleon as Captain. The following two songs are about Vlad the Impaler (aka Dracula); two historic looks, through a supernatural lens. “A journey through history, we examine the rise of Napoleon Bonaparte and the story (along with the myth) of Vlad the Impaler. The songs are historically accurate, and the lyrics for the 17 minute Napoleon song, are academic; this EP is a history lesson.” – AxMinister The artwork for the album are oil paintings by our drummer Bas. Bas is sort of obsessed with Napoleon Bonaparte, and there at least 2 more songs about the French Emperor to be released in the coming years. The Napoleon song has been in the works for over 5 years. 2. Nicholas Klaus had to learn the accordion for ‘The Age of Napoleon…the Rise’; fortunately, being of Eastern European heritage, it came naturally to him! The melody that appears at the end of the Napoleon song, on the accordion, as well as the guitar outro, are one of the melodies for part 2 of AxMinister’s Napoleon saga, to be released in the coming years. 3. The two Vlad songs were always meant as two parts, and the band still refers to them as Vlad 1&2. The original Vlad 1 got scrapped, with only the main melody carrying over to Vlad the Impaler…Son of the Dragon. https://axminister.ca/press/

PipemanRadio Interviews Alcatrazz About Take No Prisoners | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1405

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Jimmy from Alcatrazz. Pipeman expresses his admiration for the band's music and the fact that they have stayed true to their style over the years. Jimmy shares that despite the passage of time, he continues to make music and work with people he enjoys collaborating with. Their recent records draw heavily from their album "No Parole from Rock and Roll," and Jimmy and the band have been touring extensively. Pipeman notes that Alcatrazz is one of the few bands that release music as frequently as they did back in the day, putting out one album a year instead of waiting for five or eight years between releases. Jimmy explains that touring is the only thing that slows them down from recording, but they love touring and have a fair amount of it coming up this year. Jimmy goes on to explain that while touring can be fun, it can also be challenging. Nevertheless, he enjoys it, and they are all looking forward to rehearsing and putting down tracks in the next few months. Pipeman compliments the band on their resilience and their ability to keep making music that resonates with their fans. He notes that Alcatraz has done a great job of staying true to their sound and adapting to changing times, and he is excited to see where they will go next.  PipemanRadio Discusses the Rebirth of Forbidden | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 984

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Craig from Forbidden, a Bay Area thrash band that has experienced a rebirth. Craig explains that after the band dissolved in 2012, he had received offers every year but never took them seriously since he did not want to perform without Russ Anderson, the band's vocalist and his mentor. Russ had severe bouts with alcoholism, and Craig did not see a way to continue without him. However, the Bay Area Inter Rational, a festival in Holland, asked Craig if he would be interested in doing a tribute for thrash metal. Craig's idea was that nobody in the bands played their own song, and they stood on the side of the stage when their song came up. Craig had to find a singer to rehearse since none of the local singers were available. Chris Contos suggested Norman Skinner, whom Craig had not seen sing in a while, but he was a really cool guy. They had Norman come in and learn a bunch of songs, and he nailed them all. During a rehearsal, they ran through a forbidden song, and Norman's performance blew them away. Craig heard it and felt it was cool. They went to Europe and then returned to the Bay Area for the festival. Skinner sang eight songs at the festival, including one of Forbidden's songs. His performance was so good that it was evident that they had to continue with the band. Craig describes the band's rebirth as a long slow burn, and his last reluctance to take up the offer of performing without Russ Anderson was due to his reverence for the vocalist. However, Craig's decision to invite Norman Skinner proved to be a turning point for the band, leading them to continue their musical journey. The rebirth of Forbidden highlights the importance of having a team and the potential that lies in trying out new things. It also emphasizes the significance of perseverance and taking chances. This episode of The Adventures of Pipeman showcases the ability of music to bring people together, inspire them to overcome challenges, and help them evolve. On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Josie Cotton, an American singer, songwriter, and actress who began her career in the late 1970s. Josie talks about her latest album, "Day of the Gun", which will be released on May 2nd. She also mentions an album release party on May 4th at Los Angeles' Daddy Diamonds, where people can come and have fun while enjoying popcorn, an ice cream truck, and possibly balloons. She invites everyone to the party, saying that it will be a super-mindless celebration of life. Pipeman and Josie also discuss starting over and the difficulties that come with it. Josie suggests that it would be better to fix what we have rather than completely clearing the decks. Pipeman agrees and points out that starting over would require a lot of work, and people have already done the legwork to get to this point.  PipemanRadio Interviews Ethereal Void | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1192

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Voiicide from the band Ethereal Void talks about their music with Pipeman. Ethereal Void's music is dark and about entropy and the end of everything. While some people label their music as progressive death metal, Voiicide says that they play groovy death metal. They are not like other death metal bands that sound the same. Instead, they have their unique sound with a flow to their songs. The musicianship and the vocals give the band its unique identity. The conversation then shifts to the music industry and the difficulties that musicians face. Voiicide talks about how the industry has become more of a social media game, and musicians are expected to have a large following on social media. However, building a following is not easy, especially for bands that are just starting. Voiicide also talks about the importance of having a good team, including a good manager and booking agent, to help musicians navigate the industry. Pipeman and Voiicide also discuss the importance of playing live shows, as that is where bands make most of their money. With the pandemic, live shows have been cancelled or postponed, which has affected many musicians' incomes. Voiicide talks about how they have been dealing with the pandemic and the impact it has had on the band. He also talks about how they have been using this time to work on new music and improve their skills. Ethereal Void have Facebook page although they don’t do much posting. If you want to keep up with what they’re putting out you should check out Abstracted Records, which is where you can find the CD God’s of the Dead World Pipeman gives a teaser about the brand new single from the band called Pyschosomatic. He also brings up his dislike for putting heavy music into boxes of Sub-Genres, although Voyucide does like the enjoy of different sub-genres, and discusses how fans describe them as progressive metal. He just considers them to be groovy death metal. He then goes into detail about the subject matter of their music, how it involves entropy and the literal end of everything, which is different than traditional death metal which involves general undertones dealing with death. Pipeman talks about how all death metal bands sound exactly the same. When he listens to the genre he wants to be able to know what band he is listening by hearing it. Ethereal void plays with two amazing and talented guitarists, and they aren't a fan of creating a lot of backing tracks on the computer because it is hard to re-create that in a live show. Voyucide also discusses how much easier it is to play as a three piece band as opposed to having 8 or 9 members like slipknot. In his opinion, the less input and influences you have to pull from the better the fininshed product will be. Discussing how sometimes egos can get in the way. If you have a lot of strong personalities in a band it would either be a huge cluster fuck or nothing would ever get done due to the clashing of personalities. Discussing the opinion that if Dave Mustaine had stayed in Megadeth that nothing would have gotten done and that no one would have ever heard of them due to having so much ego in the room. Rush was a great example of an amazing three piece band that they couldn't see being in any other band. The amount of mutual respect they have for each other really shows in the music that they record.Pipeman in the Pit is a music and interview segment of The Adventures of Pipeman Radio Show (#pipemanradio) and from The King of All Festivals while on The Pipeman Radio Tour.  PipemanRadio Interviews WHYTHRE | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 946

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman interviews Adam and Sean from the band WHYTHRE. The band's sound is primarily thrash metal, and Pipeman noted how he was able to pick up on the genre without having read the press release before listening to their music. Adam and Sean both agree that the thrashy parts of their songs were derived from their love for thrash metal from the '80s and '90s. Sean started the project in 2010 as a solo project, and Adam joined in 2015 after they met at a pride parade. Adam was busking with a bucket drummer, and when Sean walked by, he handed Adam a link to his latest album. Adam went home, listened to it and messaged Sean to tell him, "Let's do it." Although Sean wasn't sure about Adam's situation as he saw him busking, he showed up on a Harley, and the two of them have been working together ever since. They both bring their influences to the table and continue to grow their music together. As the interview progresses, Sean and Adam talk about their music and their plans. Sean talks about how he is excited to play their songs live and hopes to make it to as many shows as possible. They also talk about how their music is received and how they are always trying to improve and refine their sound. They hope to continue making music and sharing it with others. You can check the band out on Bandcamp and on Spotify for the music. As for their socials, you can find them under @whythreofficial on Instagram and over on Facebook too, and finally be sure the check out the merch too WHYTHRE (Melodic Death Metal – USA) – Unveil Video For “Scorchbreath” From New Album “Impregnate My Hate” Out May 2023 The single “Scorchbreath” describes adventures Adam and Shon experienced on trips to Colombia (Santa Marta) and Detroit (Movement music festival). “Scorchbreath” chronicles a code word that was spoken to engage in after-hour events and various forms of libations. These travels hold a special place in the hearts of Adam Chambers (vocals/guitars/synths) and Shon Petrey (guitar/synths) and this song brings back fond memories. Musically, the single has some punchy/thrashy verses with a big carnival vibe of a chorus, all while incorporating fun shred moments.  PipemanRadio Interviews Enforced About War Remains | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 957

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Knox from Enforced. Knox talks about their new album "War Remains" and how it's different from their previous work. He mentions that the songs are more aggressive and have a lot more grit and darkness to them, which adds a unique character to the album. Although it's about 12 minutes shorter than their previous album, "Kill Grid," it packs a lot more punch. Pipeman, who is an old school thrash metalhead, agrees that Enforced's latest music is true thrash. Knox also talks about their upcoming tour with Venom Inc., and how excited they are about it. He says that they're counting the days for a lot of things, including when their beer comes out and when the album drops. Pipeman and Knox also discuss how the pandemic has affected their creativity as artists. They both agree that the pandemic has given them time to reflect and evaluate where they want things to go, which has been a good thing for them. Knox also talks about how the pandemic has given them extra time to work on their record with Century Media. He mentions that their album was pushed back many times due to the lockdowns, which gave them time to get everything squared away with the label. This has made him feel more comfortable working with them now than he did in April 2020. Pipeman and Knox also discuss how having extra time allowed them to make sure that the album was really finished and not just rushed to meet a deadline.  PipemanRadio Interviews Walk With Titans | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 784

In this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman interviews Louie from Walk With Titans, who has just released some new music on Rock Shots records. Pipeman and Louie discuss the impact of the pandemic on their creative process, with Louie explaining how the restrictive sanitary measures in Quebec made it difficult for them to produce the album. Louie shares how they recorded the vocals in a studio, while everything else was recorded by himself and Nick, the other guitar player. They also talk about how the pandemic made it challenging for the band to play together in the same room, which they only recently started doing. Despite the challenges, Louie shares how the band was able to create great music despite being physically apart. Pipeman comments on the chemistry that's missing when musicians are not together in the same room, and Louie agrees, but adds that they were able to create a connection with the songs even though they were not physically together. Pipeman also points out that Louie's band's experience of starting during the pandemic is a unique story that they could share in the future. The interview concludes with Pipeman asking Louie about the new album and what fans can expect from it. Louie talks about the album's sound and how it's a blend of different genres, including metalcore and post-hardcore. He also encourages listeners to check out the album, which is now available on Rock Shots records. To check out Walk With Titans and their latest album, head to Rock Shots records' website.  PipemanRadio Interviews Sovereign Council | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 892

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Lisa Thompson from Sovereign Council, a metal band with some cool new music. Lisa is a multi-genre artist who has put out albums in almost every genre and has always sung other people's music. This is her first time as a lead vocalist in the metal scene and being the front person for a band with this new release, which she says is a little stressful, nerve-wracking, and exciting at the same time. Sovereign Council has been a band since 2011, and their sound has changed over the years, going from a gothic symphonic sound to something a little more mainstream. They are hoping that their new music will be well-received by those who have heard them before, and that anyone who hasn't will just dig the new tunes. Pipeman asks Lisa what made her pick metal to do this. Lisa says that Chris, who is actually her cousin and was the guitar player for Sovereign Council, approached her dad, asking if she would lend her vocals for their first album. At the time, Lisa was in a country band and felt that metal wasn't for her as a musician. She had very little knowledge of how extensive the sub-genres were and wasn't aware of just how beautiful and vast metal music is. She lent her vocals, recorded in her own home studio, and sent vocals off to their producer in Kingston. At that point, she wasn't a band member, but they wanted her on the photo shoot for all of their promo material. Lisa was a little hesitant at first, but after being asked to perform at their first show with them as the vocals that she had recorded, she became a band member for Sovereign Council. Pipeman tells Lisa that a lot of people who aren't in the metal scene think that metal is scary and that everyone's a devil worshiper. He says that he goes around and does radio coverage for a bunch of different music festivals, and one weekend he had two festivals in the same weekend. He had someone else that worked for him, who was a country girl and had never listened to rock, much less metal. She had that intimidating feel about it, but Pipeman assured her that there are no fights in mosh pits and that the metal scene is one big happy family. The best way to check out the new album is by going to their band which you can find under Sovereign Council World On Fire, and if you want to keep up with them on social media, you can find them all over Facebook, TikTok and Instagram, or stream their music on Spotify The interview is with Lisa Thompson, female vocalist for Sovereign Council. They are a female fronted metal band from Kingston/Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Current line up is Lisa Thompson (Vocals), Chris Thompson (Guitar), Joe Lyko (Guitar), Shaun Vanhooser (Bass Guitar), and Brandon Schneider (Drums). New singles off our upcoming EP release "World On Fire" released on March 31st 2023 ("World On Fire") and April 13th 2023 ("Breathe You In").  PipemanRadio Interviews Lordi | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1046

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Mr. Lordi, an amazing musician and artist known for his music, visuals, cinema, and artistry. Pipeman is impressed by Lordi's latest music video, Dead Again Jayne, and asks him about it. Lordi explains that the video is meant to look like an 80s cable TV horror show showcasing a 1930s old Universal horror movie. He directed and edited the video himself, and he had fun doing two different styles, the 80s cheap cable TV style and the 1930s black and white film style. Lordi reveals that young people today do not understand the concept of television and the old cable TV show since they have never experienced it before. Lordi shares that he has never been on social media and still lives in the 80s and 90s, and he acknowledges that these decades were the greatest. Pipeman agrees, and they discuss how technology has changed the artistry of music videos. Lordi believes that the magic of the videos is gone now that anyone can do it, and the charm is lost. Lordi also talks about one little detail from the video shoot where he noticed that younger film crew members did not know how to use a film camera since everything is now digital. Pipeman and Lordi continue to chat about various topics such as how Lordi likes to scare people and how he sees himself as an entertainer rather than a musician. Lordi also reveals that he is currently working on his autobiography, which he hopes to release soon. Overall, Pipeman and Lordi have a fun and insightful conversation about Lordi's latest music video, the evolution of technology and artistry, and Lordi's upcoming projects. You can get more information on Lordi over at Lordi.fi, as well as on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter under Lordi Official. Screem Writers Guild, a new beast of an album by the beloved Finnish hard rock monster squad, is out TODAY on Atomic Fire Records. Screem Writers Guild was produced by Mr. Lordi with Mana and Janne Halmkrona as executive producers. Ilkka Herkman took care of mixing and Pauli Saastamoinen mastered the record. The artwork was also designed by Mr. Lordi himself who has made a name as director for the band’s vision since the early ’90s.  PipemanRadio Interviews John DeMena | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 960

In this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to John DeMena, an amazing musician who shares his story of coming to LA and going through the struggles of survival and chasing his dreams in the music industry. John's story was particularly challenging because he landed in LA just two months before the recession hit in 2000. Finding jobs and stability in the music industry was difficult for him. John lived in hostels with six to eight people for three to four months until he got a job and built his credit score. As a young adult, John was naive and didn't know what credit was in America. He thought that having money in his bank account would allow him to rent a place to live, but he was wrong. He had to learn the hard way about building credit and how things worked in America. John's early years in LA were full of challenges, but he survived and learned a lot of discipline. He believes that the difficult times he faced built his character and developed his personality, and he often says that it separates the boys from the men. John also shares his struggles in finding people who were artistically aligned with him or finding affirmation to stay together for a while. Many people come to LA and have to be part of multiple bands to pay their bills. But for John, the only way to move forward was as a solo artist who writes everything and then puts the band together. He developed a DIY approach and did everything himself. Overall, John's story is one of perseverance and determination to make his dreams come true despite the challenging times he faced. If you want to keep up to date with John, you can find him everywhere online under John DeMena, including his new TikTok channel you should definitely check out, and John DeMena Music on Facebook. Be sure to check out his music videos too, which he describes as very diverse, ranging from dystopian to modern, to cyber punk. New album, Dreams and Lies, out now. Featured by MTV Germany for his cover of The Doors' "People Are Strange", as well as outlets like Metal Hammer in Spain, Brave Words, Sonic Perspectives, and more.  PipemanRadio Interviews Ondfodt | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1228

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Owe, the frontman, guitarist, and songwriter of the band Ondfodt. Pipeman starts the conversation by praising Owe's talent, and the technicality and speed of his music. Uva agrees that playing an instrument requires years of practice and that even experienced musicians need to practice on a daily basis to maintain their skill levels. He also mentions that drumming is an essential part of their band's music, and it creates the illusion of the guitar being faster than it actually is. Pipeman and Owe then delve into the topic of black metal music. Owe shares his thoughts on the evolution of black metal, stating that it has come a long way and that newer black metal bands are trying too hard to make their music sound unique. He points out that some of the newer bands have good production and techniques but lack the true essence of black metal. Pipeman highlights the importance of practice and dedication to the craft of music. He reminds listeners that even those with natural talent still need to put in the hours to learn and maintain their skills. Uva agrees, adding that while some people may have an easier time learning an instrument, everyone needs to practice to achieve their goals. Overall, the conversation between Pipeman and Uva is an insightful look at the world of music, the challenges of being a musician, and the evolution of black metal.  PipemanRadio Interviews Lunar | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 881

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Alex from Lunar, a band with a unique sound that blends different genres. Pipeman praises the latest tune by Lunar, highlighting its amazing musicianship, and shares his perception that the band's music sounds like a combination of heavy metal, thrash, death metal, and hair metal. Alex agrees and mentions that the band strives to have a good balance of eclectic genres, which is possible because the band members have different musical influences. The band members' musical tastes and experiences come from different subgenres, such as power metal, funk, and tribute bands. This eclectic mix of influences adds a unique sound to their music. Pipeman shares his impression of Lunar's song, Juggling Chainsaws, where he felt surprised every 30 seconds. Alex explains that the album, in particular, keeps listeners guessing while staying coherent throughout, taking them on a journey, and making them want to see it through to the end. Pipeman then talks about Lunar's second album and asks Alex to share more about the song's sad themes. Alex clarifies that the previous album, Ilon, was written about the death of Ryan Irwin, the band's friend and co-founder. This album is about the grieving process and coping with his loss. Alex agrees that music is the best therapy and that it helps people cope with mental illness. You can find Lunar on all the socials under Lunar Band Official like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
