PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: THE GREAT BOTTLENECK OF NOVEMBER 2017 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:14:07

In lieu of a massive Thanksgiving turkey of an episode, Dillon and Trevor are back this week with a measly tablespoon of cranberry sauce. But like the piilgrims setting forth with promise of an undiscovered world, they announce an exciting new Patreon exclusive! You can be like the Native Americans who generously shared their corn with the settlers by going to patreon.com/hallelujahmonkeyz and supporting the show. We know what we're thankful for: you, the listener.

 "The Good, The Bad & The Queen" (2007) Track - By - Track Review - 11:13:2017 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:23:46

Cor blimey! After taking a spin through two high-concept hip hop records by notable Gorillaz collaborators, what’s next for Hallelujah Monkeyz? Why, it’s only the Good, the Bad, & the Queen, innit! If you ain’t ‘eard of it, it’s a very, very English record by that bloke from Blur, along with a few other famous faces that have played important roles in the history of Gorillaz both before and since. There are dark clouds in the sky and the tea kettle’s on... just another day in the Kingdom of Doom.

 "The Mouse and the Mask" (2005) - Halloween/2017 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:20:25

Just in time for Halloween, Dillon and Trevor turn on Adult Swim and sit down with The Mouse and the Mask, a one-off hip hop record from 2005 starring phase 2 Gorillaz collaborators Danger Mouse and MF DOOM. This episode may not seem too spooky at first listen, but if you play it backwards I’m pretty sure you can hear what sounds like an undead spirit rattling its chains and calling out for Phi Life Cypher to come be on the show.  "Deltron 3030" (2000) Track-by-Track Review - 10/23/2017 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:07:49

In the first episode of a special family-oriented season of Hallelujah Monkeyz, Dillon and Trevor take a quantum leap to the distant future and check out Deltron 3030, 2001’s epic sci-fi hip-hopera starring Gorillaz collaborators Dan the Automator and Del the Funkee Homosapien. From rap battles to robots, it’s our most instupituous episode ever!

Hallelujah Monkeyz Live at the Forum - 10/17/2017 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:16:33

Something is gonna happen tonight! And by “tonight” I mean Thursday October 5th, which is when Dillon and Trevor had the great fortune of seeing Gorillaz live at the Forum in Los Angeles, California. Will all of their Gorillaz live dreams come true? Or will they end up busted and blue? Most importantly... who’s Arthur?

 "Demon Detour" (2005) & "iTunes Session" (2010) - 10/02/2017 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:20:48

There’s plenty of news to get excited about this week, as Damon Albarn premiers a new Gorillaz song and grows ever closer to his dream of seeing his beloved musical children brought to life via holograms. After that, Dillon and Trevor hop into the studio with various incarnations of the Gorillaz live band to check out the Demon Detour — a series of live tracks recorded to promote Demon Days in 2005 — as well as the group’s live iTunes session from 2010. Not all the performances are great, but hey, even the duds make for some “lively” discussion!

 "Demon Days Live" - 09/25/2017 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:18:04

This week, Dillon and Trevor take in a night at the opera, heading to Manchester circa 2005 to see Gorillaz perform Demon Days in its entirety. Well, they’re actually just reviewing another DVD, but hey, at least this way you don’t need to use those dumb little binocular things. What’re those called, anyways?

 "D-Sides (Disc 2)" (2007) - 09/18/2017 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:49:10

In what will surely go down in podcasting history as the worst episode of Hallelujah Monkeyz ever, Dillon and Trevor grit their teeth and sit through every excruciating minute of the nine phase two remixes included on the special edition of D-Sides. You're gonna need a lot more than a panda to hug if you want to get through this episode.

 "Gorillazish Mix" (2001) & "Roadkill: The Mixtape" (2005)- 09/11/2017 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:10:18

After trying to figure out the most passive aggressive way to gaslight the firstborn son of Jamie Hewlett into appearing on the show, Dillon and Trevor take a better look at two former Gorillaz producers by checking out a pair of promotional mixtapes they created while working with the band: “Gorillazish Mix” — a phase one compilation tracing the musical influences of Dan “the Automator” Nakamura — and “Roadkill”, a phase two showcase of the group’s new collaborators directed by Brian “Danger Mouse” Burton. It’s a level of content-scrounging unlike any the show has seen before!
