It’s a Thursday so this means Business of Sport – We looked at Sports Tourism and the Impact it brings to the SA Economy. Special Olympics turned 50-years-old in July. We celebrated this milestone with President and Managing Director of Special Olympics Africa Region Mr Charles Nyambe. Also joining the conversation was Romi Reinecke – Marketing and Communication at Special Olympics Africa and Ancilla Smith – CEO Special Olympics South Africa.

We started with our careers in sport feature, our guest was SA Boxing official and Jugde Ms Sylvia Mokaila. Part 2 of the boxing controversy... Boxing South Africa has been accused of flouting the rules by allowing a Mandela celebration tournament to go ahead, without full purse monies being paid, as per the rules. Ayanda Matiti of Xaba Boxing Promoters (Organisers) joined us to clarify the matter.

We opened the show with Super Rugby chat with Vata Ngobeni and also paid tribute to Swallows Rugby Club, that lost 3 players in a car accident over the weekend. Eastern Cape Promoters Association have written to Boxing SA asking why the Mandela legacy tournament was allowed to go ahead, despite purse monies not being paid, as per the rules. BSA Chairperson Dr Peter Ngatane, Xaba Promotions Chairman Ayanda Matiti and Thando Zonke joined us to clarify the matter.

Our guest was the one and only former South African Cricketer and all – rounder Lance Klusener.

It's a Thursday so we were chatting Business of Sport. Dr Moeketsi Mosola was our guest as we look at his Doctorate Thesis - A comparison study of 3 big local clubs and their international counterparts, including broadcast rights comparisons with cricket and rugby.

We talke to Mr Kris Dobie from The Ethics Institute about Michael Murphy's involvement in the Ndoro + PSL SAGA . Murphy is Head of Legal for PSL while his firm (Murphy's Attorneys) represents Ajax and AmaZulu in this case...Is this not a conflict of interest? Later on the show we were joined by newly appointed CSA CEO Thabang Moroe.

In Our Careers in Sport Feature - Tonight we celebrated internationally acclaimed golf-rules official Mr Theo Manyama from Alex. The man has officiated in 16 successive US Masters, nine US Opens, 19 consecutive British Open Championships and the PGA Championships. His son, who’s also an internationally acclaimed Golf Rules official, joined us later on the show to both educate about what it takes to be a top gun in Golf.

We kicked off the show with not so good news as we crossed over to Sri Lanka to get reaction from Proteas Camp after a disappointing 2-0 series defeat to Sri Lanka, assistant coach Malibongwe Maketa joined us. We also went all the way to Germany to get reaction following Mesuit Ozil retirement, Ira Spitzer joined us from Berlin. Lastly we took a closer look at Percy Tau’s move to Brighton Hove Albion, Brian Owen – Sports Reporter for The Argus in Brighton, England gave us the low down.

We opened the show with newly crowned IBF flyweight champion Moruti Mthalane. We also talked about the Supersport Rugby Challenge. Teams are accusing each other of not playing black players and take the matches to previously disadvantage areas, SABC Sport Reporter Jody Hendricks was our guest. In our Business of Sport Feature – We looked at the Global Sports Industry Trends, with Kelvin Watt from Nielsen Sports.

In the spirit of Madiba, we spoke to former Zambian Captain Kalusha Bwalya about the 100 COACHES FOR MADIBA with the KNVB initiative they’re running in the country. We also spoke to former Sports Minister Ngconde Balfour and former SARU vice president Brian van Rooyen. They will took us back to 1998, the year former SA Rugby boss Louis Luyt took Dr Nelson Mandela to court.

Wheelchair Tennis SA veteran Kgothatso ‘KG’ Montjane travelled to this year’s Wimbledon without a coach, due to lack of funding, we found out from her and WTSA Spokesperson Anthony Moruthane how did this happen. In our Careers in Sport feature we discussed Football agents, what does it take to become one. Paul Mitchell – UK Licensed Agent and Intermediary joined us.

The country was divided in its support for Kevin Anderson at Wimbledon with many criticizing him for not playing DavisCup. Is the criticism justified? We were joined by Davis Cup Captain John Laffnie de Jager and IOL Sports Reporter Ockert De Villiers. We also crossed over to Paris to get the sense of French people following their World Cup Final victory over Croatia. Goal France senior Journalist Hocine Harzoune joined us live from the Capital of France to tell us the mood. Lastly we looked at FIFA and Football trends in this world cup with FIFA Technical committee member coach Muhsin Ertugral
