We spoke on the SABC and SAFA’s 4-year broadcast agreement of Bafana Bafana matches and also got the latest on what is now refereed to as a looming saga between the PSL and SAFA over the U-23 Football team’s participation at the junior AFCON because the tournament doesn’t fall on FIFA dates and the clubs are not obliged to release their players. Former South African International Matthew Booth gave his thoughts on the issue as well as SAFA Acting CEO Russell Paul and SABC Journalist Velile Mnyandu.

Essop 'Smiley' Moosa is best remembered for breaking barriers after playing for Berea Park in the white league in 1972 under a false name Arthur Williams where he led them to a 3-1 win over Rangers in a semi-final cup match and also played for Sundowns.

England and New Zealand had their rugby world cup games cancelled against France and Italy respectively because of super typhoon Hagibis that is expected to hit near Tokyo at the weekend. We spoke to New Zealand Freelance Sports Reporter George Harper Jr who is in Japan. We also spoke to South African football legend Fani Madida ahead of his fund raising event on Saturday where he will be auctioning some of his jerseys with proceeds going towards upgrading sports facilities in Newcastle. We found more about the inaugural Fat Cats Athletic Club’s 10km race that will be taking place at Mall of Africa in Waterfall Park on Sunday. Fat Cats Vice-President Matshelane Mamabolo was our guest. On Tuesday we did a wrap of World Athletics Championships where South Africa failed to medal and we spoke to Stephen Mokoka who finished 5th in the 42.2km race.

Bongani Magasela spoke to us about to expect on TKO boxing show on SABC 2. Boxing fundi Ace Sidinile was our guest as we looked at the process of being nominated into the boxing hall of fame. We also got an update from Namhla Matandabuzo on the gala dinner of boxing legend Vuyani Bungu who has been nominated to be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. Uyanda Nogogo’s camp have threaten to take legal action if they don’t look into the complaint of their boxer who lost his fight against Junior Makondo despite beating the count after being knocked down.

We also caught up with Bafana Bafana striker Bradley Grobler ahead of the international friendly against Mali in Port Elizabeth at Nelson Mandela Bay stadium. Orlando Pirates Football Administrator Floyd Mbele was our guest we remembered the late Pirates great City Radebe.

It’s Flashback Friday where celebrate our sporting icons from years gone by and we reflected on the career of a living legend when it comes to South African Rugby in Naas Botha – he was arguably South African Rugby’s biggest star before the don of our democracy – he was voted South African Rugby Player of the Year in 1979, 1981, 1985 and 1987.

Controversy reigned after a video footage surfed showing Rakhimov’s camp putting what looked like a banned substance called “Smelling Salts”. We spoke to Azinga’s trainer Colin Nathan and Rumble Africa Promotions CEO Nomfesane Nyathela after they lodged a complaint with the IBF. We also spoke to Boxing SA CEO Tsholo Lejaka on their protest. We also spoke to Emmanuel Mutavhatsindi on the upcoming tournament in Malamulele in Giyani.
