Postgame Show: The Los Angeles Lakers are NBA champions | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1695

The Los Angeles Lakers dominated from start to finish on Sunday night in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, winning 106-93 to capture the NBA title. In one of their most dominant defensive performances of the season, Anthony Davis and the Lakers used a stifling defense to outscore the Heat 36-16 in the second quarter, including a 28-4 run to end the half, to come away with the win. LeBron James was named Finals MVP after notching yet another Finals triple-double on Sunday with 28 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. Davis added 19 points, 15 rebounds and 3 blocks while anchoring a defense that surrendered just 58 points through the opening three quarters and held the Heat to 36.2% shooting from the field in that span. Playoff Rondo made one last appearance with 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting to go along with four rebounds and four assists. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope continued his strong Finals with 17 points. Anthony Irwin and Jacob Rude reacted to the Lakers winning their first title in a decade in the aftermath of Sunday's game. The two share what the win means to them personally after starting their writing careers in the middle of bad Lakers teams and also touch on what this season means to Lakers fans.  Postgame Show: Jimmy Butler destroys the Lakers | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1668

Jimmy Butler was magnificent, brilliant, dominant, unstoppable and any other number of adjectives on Sunday as his 40-point triple double led Miami to a 115-104 win in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, pulling the Heat to within a game at 2-1. Butler's historic night saw him shooting 14-of-20 from the field and 12-of-14 from the line to reach 40 points while notching 13 assists and 11 rebounds in just the third 40-point triple-double in Finals history. The Lakers did little to help their cause on the night as they turned the ball over 10 times in the first quarter and 19 times in total on the evening, an encapsulation of their overall mindset. Anthony Davis found himself in first-quarter foul trouble and he was never able to find a rhythm on either end of the court, managing just 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting with five turnovers. LeBron James did himself and the Lakers no favors also, turning the ball over eight times. Poor shooting nights from Danny Green and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope offset great performances off the bench from Markieff Morris and. Kyle Kuzma as they each scored 19 points while hitting nine three-pointers. Ultimately, though, Butler and the Heat had all the answers down the stretch as Miami won each quarter on the night with their six-point advantage in the fourth their largest. Anthony Irwin and Jacob Rude touch on each of those topics in the postgame podcast while discussing why Davis' performance both likely cost him a chance at the Finals MVP and is what separates him from being the elite of the elite in the NBA. To kick things off, the guys discuss why the Lakers turned things around after a slow start in the series opener and dominate Miami the rest of the way. Anthony and Jas then get into why L.A. is a terrible matchup for the Heat, despite Miami's strong play throughout the postseason. Following that, the guys talk about how NBA media members who took the Heat to win could get things so wrong, and the Lakers are heavy favorites to win the NBA title. After that, Anthony and Jas breakdown the differences between the rosters, and to wrap things up, they give their predictions for how the series will play out.  Learn more about your ad choices.  Lakers, Explained: The problem with the depth discussion | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2614

Over the last day since the Lakers found out they would be playing the Heat in the Finals, there have been a lot of attempts to break down this series in a few different ways. One of them is trying to see which team has the most depth, which Harrison and Anthony think is a mistake in a few ways, and they broke down why. After that, Anthony had a question for Harrison: Why do people keep thinking Anthony Davis hasn't proven himself in the playoffs yet? They discussed a few reasons they think it might be happening, and why they think it's overblown. Finally, they wrapped up the show by laughing a bit at the Clippers and the Celtics. Following that, the guys get into the tremendous job Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has done making adjustments in the postseason following his decision to start Dwight Howard in place of JaVale McGee.
